I did & got mostly info on the horrors of sativa/drugs. Found this site, so thanx for replyin. the harvest was about a wk ago & 3 days ago it was unfortunaley put in a plastic garbage bag, in a pail covered n dirt, to cover the odor though so salvaged most of it. $2500 worth.

i bet you stumbled up on some ones grow and chopped it prematurely.
shame on you.

but in case i'm wrong, i don't see why that wouldn't work as long as it's in a bag. it does need to air out at least once a day though or it will form mold. also its gonna take a lot longer, like, months.... to fully cure.

No. Sadly our own. Son planted 18 dank plants on his dad's property & his dad did the slight damage. Only minimal damage. Pissed that he took the tree down!!

I'm figuring that it was n a plastic bag, n a pail & buried not real deep that we can just shake the dried dirt off. Clippin, clippn...dry, cure & re-coup the loss. Thanks 4 the input from yo & stonic.

It was not dry when buried? Might have gone mouldy. If it has then don't smoke it. A picture would help.

Edit this post might be instructive drying-curing

@ farmergiles: No only a wk old & dried/cured 3 days. No if moldy contains bad chemicals. Only lost bout a dub of the moldy. Will let it cure for month or more or toss out. Thanx for your help!

But why bury it? I mean, what was the reasoning behind that? To cover the smell?Ever heard of double bagging? And you should never store wet weed in anything but open air, because like FG said you risk getting mold. And a week isn't long enough for a drying phase usually, much less a cure too. Gah, people ruining good bud, makes me sad.

@Smokeajoint: It was drying n the grainery at my ex's home. He went n the grainery & smelled something skunky, freaked, got paranoid and stuck it n a garbage bag, a pail & buried it so the smell wouldn't b noticeable. Luckily 99.9% of it was good. So no, we would never bury weed....just posted originally to see if it would change the THC levels.

If you look in the post by Phat Pharmer that I linked to, have a look at the water cure method. Not that I'm that fond of water cured weed but when the shit hits the fan it is a useful technique.

Should have posted the whole story right off the bat. I thought you were asking as in the sense that burying ones weed would increase potency and doing it would be an option.

Haha skinny, your ex must be a total paranoid mofo, if it was drying inna grainery I wouldn't have stressed too much. But, I also wasn't there, don't know the full situation so I guess I can't ridicule.
