^Agreed. Isn't well water always soft? Keep an eye on the pH.

Depends on the geological strata surrounding the well. Often in limestone areas well water and tap water will be hard. Could be purer than driven snow or saltier than hell.

But yes, checking the pH and tds of well water would be advisable.

the guy at the hydro store says he swears i have a calcium magnesium deficency or however you spell it but i got som calmag and a simple ph test kit with, u drop this stuff in a little amount of water and it tells you where your at and i was about 7.5 and he said i should be around 6.2 and recommended adding lime juice to the water and i did and that dropped me to just above six also i flushed it out with the lower ph water till the water came out the bottom and then some it almost flooded my grow room lol i was runnin for towels like a chicken with my head cut off and im cutting back on the micronutrient to every other day or every third day

Never mind I couldn't find it. Here is a pretty straightforward deficiency guide
Marijuana Plants Problems - Yellow Leaves, brown spots, nutrient shortage etc.

Go easy with the calmag too until things stabilise-

Calcium deficiency is very rare without some underlying ph issue.

Magnesium, that's in epsom salts (a lot cheaper than calmag ).

I'd recommend plain water until things straighten out a little.

6 pH is perfect.

7.5 is on the high side of good, but its still good. 6.5-7.5 ideal range.
