Two weeks into 12/12, lookin good!
Five plants, two weeks into 12/12. Three are in 7g pots, two in 10g's, under a 1000w HPS (previously vegged under a T5 and then a 1000w blue MH before switching to the HPS), with a proper reflector and light spreader. They have been bushed out for around 2 months.
Using Coco, with Canna nutes. Just overcame a spider mite problem and now they are looking proper. Total beasts. UK Cheese and Chem Diesel's. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Shit, I should have posted this thread in another category probably. Either way, I'll make it relevant as I have a few questions.
As for the flowering plants, I went wrong by not training them during veg stage. But I bushed them out serious by pinching and bending, so they are fuckin huge. I am experimenting right now with a tomato cage on one of the Diesels and it seems to be working proper. But do any of you have any suggestions regarding how I can open up the canopy properly to maximize light potential, without stressing out the plants, considering they are already in flowering stage?

Ah boy, since they're flowering and no longer supple sprouts, that does kind of limit the options. One possible suggestion is a Screen of Green setup, so it gives a screen for a canopy to develop. That, along with LST is better to start young with, but its worth giving a go with the time you have left.
Also, may I suggest actually removing some of the lower limbs? Just the lowest few inches before you get to the ground. Because of the rest of the growth above, some of the lower stuff won't produce in any good way. However, giving yourself some working room down there makes life easier. Hey, look at it like this. Next time, you can start with Scrog and LSt early, and with pinching and the like, just imagine that yield!

Well, the main thing I'm worried about is stress. I have stressed these things out sooooo much during veg and even during the first days of flower, due to a massive blizzard. I have also chopped many of the bottom branches off within 1-2 weeks before flowering. So, I am very hesitant to chop off anything else as this could stunt the bud production, considering what I've ALREADY done to them.
It is literally amazing how great these look considering what they have been through, haha. Thank god for Canna nutes!

Oh well if you have done some cutting back already no worries!
They look really good, all considered. If it was me I would just let them finish flowering. Theres always next grow cycle. If you have a separate vegetating room, you might consider taking clones from the strongest plant, just to get the next grow ready with training and everything.

I do have a veg room with clones from the plants you see. They are ready to move in when those move out.
The tomato cage seems to be working nice though. I think I will try that method with the others as well. They are way too bushy and the 3 Cheese's will not be able to handle their bud weight without being staked. I should have done this a long time ago, but I haven't. So I'm just trying to make the best of it. The Diesel's need to be bent certain ways just to open the top canopy, but the Cheese is all stretched out and has good light penetration so it basically just needs support stakes to hold the buds.

Sounds like a good plan. I can't wait to see these progress.

You timed it nicely on the pruning for sure. Gives them a bit of time to relax before the light change.
I would let them go as they are now. They are doing fantastic judging by the colouration so just let em go. They look like they have been in long enough to be on the other side of the stretch.
