Bulb swapping?

Have a 4 wk old plant that looks great. It has been growing under a 1000W MH. I have changed schedule to 12/12 and want some opinions regarding flowering. I have a 400 HPS that I can go to. HPS is supposed to be better for flowering. Any recommendations? Should I change or finish the plant with the far more powerful MH?

How big is the plant? Pics?

Finish with the 1000 mh I'd say, unless the plant is too small to use all the available light.

Sodium is preferred by most for flowering but not everyone. There's not that much in it tbh.

What ballast do you have? Could you get a 1000w sodium bulb to work with it?

I have a hmm swithable ballast, takes MH or HPS, I just don't have the $$$ to get another bulb right now. I will try to do some pix this week. This is a new variety for me. Cannotonic, I switched to 12/12 maybe a little early, cuz I don't want an out of control plant. It's a feminized plant and appeared to have some flower like tips since week 2 under the 18 hr light. Anyway, thanks for the note, I did the 400 for 3 days and the plant seemed to shock (slight wilt) so I will switch back to the 1000 tomorrow. Nothing like abusing the plant....

i will pay I am sure...

Changed back to the 1000 when I took the picture....Lets see where she decides to take me...Im not too good on Calendar days. Cant wait to see what kind of buds she throws out. This is the easy part.Having to decide is there enough Amber is the stressful part. Got to enjoy the good times.Thanks again for the opinion....Will send a pix at..pick em time whenever that may be.
