is six too much
i ve bulit a 2.5m X 1m to the ceiling. i've got a 600watt Son T HPS, fans n shit (get a proper extraction with C Filter before i start budding) and im using a re circulating bubbler. i plan on not using the top flow once roots hit the bubbles. The walls are white plastic from hydro shop. I plan on ScrOG growing. At the moment got 6 bag seeds going, was awesome weed though.
will i have enough room? I heard that you aim for 100watts a plant. Is this true and how high do you set up the screen above plants? Im also watering 3 times a day for 15min. Is this alright? I grew in soil last. All advice welcome

40 watts minimum per square foot is the rule of thumb.
on the room dimensions 2.5 x 1 meter is about 24 square feet ? 24 x 40 = 960 sq. ft. about 1000 watts...minimum.

If you're growing from seed chances are not all of your plants will be female. It's possible but not very likely. If you're not planning on starting anymore seeds you'll probably be just fine.
Roach is correct in his calculations and if you were cramming your grow space full I would recommend a 1000w as well. Bigger is always better, as long as space and ventilation allows. From your dimensions it sounds like your room isn't very square correct? In a rectangular room (like yours and mine) adding a light sometimes makes more sense than putting a bigger one in. I would not recommend a screen grow, they can be extremely cumbersome and will make it difficult for you to check your water levels and what not. Not to mention the difference in growth from soil to hydro haha. Make your first run as simple as possible, it will be a learning expirience haha tig |

600w son t is a nice bulb, should be enough to grow 6 plants pretty well, but like TIG said you wont get 6 fems anyways. 600w is plenty for 4 plants.
I'd suggest a fairly short veg period to keep the size small though sounds like you are watering them too much, but I'm only used to soil so best to wait on further advise on that one. |
