Hi on my first grow,4 weeks into flowering and looking good but i've noticed some algae growing on my rockwool.I had used mylar to cover the cubes but as the stems have got bigger the mylars opened and let light in,hence the algae. What i want to know is-will the algae spoil the weed and what would you recommend to get rid of algae, thanks for any help.

at this stage in the grow a little algae is no big deal. you can scrape it off with a knife or brush it away with an old toothbrush, and it wont have time to come back much before the plants are done.

What type of hydro setup are you using? I never run into this problem because my hydroton always covers the rockwool but I guess slab growing runs into this problem.
