I believe new clones are started away from direct light sources, so the clones and planting material stay moist until they begin showing roots. This could be 1 to 3 weeks.

Yeah, as long as it is not dark, keep them a couple of feet away from the light at least. They don't need much light to strike roots.

Try to keep them at a steady warm temperature.

Keep the medium moist but not soaking.

If you have a propagator/humidity dome thingy this is good to keep the climate consistent and stop them drying out..

Cutting the tips off the leaves helps.

What light schedule are you using? 24hrs is probably best.

my light schedule is 18/6 because the light is for the mother too.

I will put clones 2 feet from the light until they don't show new roots, right? Keep in mind the kind of light I'm using

thanks a lot

until they do show new roots.

clones need roots in order to grow normally (you knew this) but placing them too close to your light source will only aid in drying them out. They do need some light so 2 feet from the light you're using should do fine. The humidity dome (an old 2 or 3 litre clear soda bottle with the top cut off), is also an excellent idea. Blocks direct light somewhat , traps moisture, while allowing some light in. I use these often for new plants from seed.

At least two feet. Further away is ok.

Keep an eye on the temps when the light is off, if they fall too low this can cause mould and also might delay roots.
