water/feed from bottom or top?
Any theories out there? I like watching my plant suck up water from the drip tray. I can almost here her slurping, I expect a belch. I'm thinking it would stimulate root growth moreso than top watering/feeding.

![]() I think both top and bottom is best so as to encourage the roots to use the whole of the medium.

well, with top watering, any excess salt build up would be flushed out better. I don't think that it would be a problem with a short term plant though.
With bottom watering, there is no chance of burning the leaves with droplets. I also think that, if your grow medium is good, wicking would distribute the water throughout anyway. So my opinion is that is doesn't matter.
