Rate My Baby (Hopefully A Girl)

Hello everyone,

My first time ever growing. What do you think of her (hopefully), does she look pretty healthy?

Thanks,

farmergiles,

It's a LED grow light, however, since I was going to take a picture I took a regular 100W light bulb and put over the LED light so you could see the color of the plant, otherwise you would just see that purplish color on the plant.

90 Watt LED UFO
* Each light contains 90 x 1 watt LEDs, 7:1:1 red/blue/orange ratio
* Precision red LEDs (flowering)
* Precision blue LEDs (vegetation)
* Precision orange LED\'s (mid-spectrum)
* True optimized spectrum with tight-tolerance LEDs
* Unrivaled chlorophyll/carotenes/xanthophylls absorption
* Uses wide-angle (120°) LEDs for max coverage & output
* Extremely efficient, integral reflector
* Dazzling, powerful light
* No infrared rays or ultraviolet radiation to stunt plants
* LEDs emit light without using filaments; light runs cool
* Built-in, ballast-free, power supply
* 10-years or more life-expectancy with minimum decay
* Three low-noise fan
* Operates on 120 volts; standard 3-prong cord included
* Built-in lugs for easy mounting & hanging
* CE & ROHS compliant
* Brand new in original box
* No Bulbs to replace, no maintenance costs
* Discrete, no thermal footprint
* Dimensions: 7.5\"x 3.5\"
* 3 Year Warranty

Thanks,

Are you using LEDs all the way through or planning to switch to other lights later?

Always interesting to see peeps using LEDs.

Thanks .

Planning on using it all the way. One question I did have for you guys/gals, the temperature in my grow room stays at 86.1 degrees Fahrenheit. Should be worried? It doesn't seem to be affecting my baby in any detrimental way, I know the water temp should be around 75 degrees Fahrenheit so that the roots can take in nutrients. What do you guys/gals think?

Thanks,

86F is a little high, 80 would be better.

Bare in mind the temps are highest under the light.

looks good for a youngin

just growing 1 plant tho , the odds of a female are not 50/50.

after a point humidity will be a concern also...but looks like you're on the right path (YaHooka )

stoneric,

LED's do generate heat, I guess not as much as HPS or MH but they still do. The only way I can get the temp between 75-80 in my room is if I keep the door wide open but that defeats the purpose of my stealthy setup.

Roach,

I have 4 sites going right now. I just took a picture of one, so if the odds aren't 50/50 what are the odds?

Currently the humidity is 36%

I guess I have to live with it for another month before it starts getting cold, by then I won't have to worry about heat and I can easily control the temperature.

Thanks,
Learning247

I'll let FG answer this difficult question.

I've had as many as 7 males in a 12 plant grow from bagseed.

I just finished changing out my water (Poland Springs) with a fresh batch, Adjusted the Ph of the water to 5.5-5.8, Added 1/4 tsp of Moon Dust to the reservoir, temperature of the grow area is exactly 80F but that is going to fluctuate until winter hits then it will be easier for me to control. My babies are exactly 10 days old now. Here is a pic of all four babies.

Thanks,

I still think the odds for male/female is 50%, but stress seems to create more males. No stress seems to get more females, but I don't think this has been scientifically studied (as in 1000 samples, under the same conditions).

As with anything, there is acceptable and there is ideal. I think 86` is acceptable and they will do just fine.

I had my old room get up to 100`, and everything lived and did ok, smaller than their lower temp counterparts tho. I tried a small AC unit to bring the temps down and it brought it down to around 95`. Finally, I just gave up growing for those hot summer months. I used the down time for maintenance work. Kept the moms under fluorescence.

I think your stems are really nice and fat. What's moon dust?

Are you going to use the same LED's throughout the entire grow? What is the 90watt equivalent to? I've read someplace where that it was equal to a 400watt HID lite. I hope you keep us updated with your grow, I'd like to see how the LED'S produce.
