Never good, whichever way you look at it!

Where do you get those no pest strips from, could do me some good.

I have a good spray, SBPI, but I don't like spraying plants once they frost up, so something like this might be a big help.

Thrips are my major concern at the mo', but I imagine these will work for them also.

Soapy water man, 1 part soap, 40 parts water. Thats what my botany teacher drilled into us last year, won't damage the plants and it will kill spider mites.

Probably if nothing else, it's good to spray the bottom of the plants so new ones aren't climbing up out of the soil....

Not sure how they are drawn to the 'catcher you have posted there, but getting the second and third generations before they lay new eggs is necessary.

You need a cure, not just a band aid, and to me, that catch is a bit of a band aid, even if it is working temporarily.

Spider mites are a bitch to have around, but not that difficult to get rid of with some persistence.

If you feel better buying a soap 'Safers Soap' is what the landscaping company I worked for used, that is available about anywhere, same idea as Qui mentioned though.

Hi chefyD.

Oh no the dreaded mites !

Soapy water works.
ISO alcohol works even better. Stronger solutions of iso alcohol work best but you need to wash it off fairly quickly or the plants will be hung over.

Careful with the no pest strips close to harvest- it could have some effect on the buds. Should get the mites though.

Mites like low humidity.

There's lots of info in this thread Spider Mites.

Good luck man!
