*New Grow* - Rooms, RO Filter, Seeds, Plants, Lights, CO2, Growtronix & More !
Sup everyone,
This is still a work in progress, but I wanted to give you guys and idea what I have and where I am now. So let's get on with it shall we? First, the design of the rooms kind of got screwed up, I guess something got lost in translation with the guys that were laying down the studs for the rooms, oh well, it is, what it is. Here is the layout. I am going to throw up more pics, I tried adding it to this section but it comes out all funky (formatting), I want to keep things organized. By the way I am still waiting on a lot of stuff to come in and between work and life it's going to sometime for me to get there but we will do it together. ![]() Thanks, Learning247 |

Sup all,
Here is my R.O. Filter. If you decide to get this unit, keep in mind you should flush out the first two tanks. My TDS meter gave me a reading of like 10 and pH is somewhere in the 7's. And chlorine is non-existent, I had my friend get his chlorine tester and it can test up to 0.5 ppm and it changes the color to a light pink if there is chlorine in the water, however it didn't come up with any chlorine in the water with his tester. Thanks, Learning247 |

Awesome, no messing around!
A coupla things I thought.. I don't know what your situation is with respect to stealth, but sound insulating a growspace can be an excellent move. Fans and stuff can be quite noisy. You can go to long lengths to totally acoustically isolate a space but that polystyrene sheeting stuff is pretty cheap and helps quite a lot. Looking at the plan I'm thinking the flower room would ideally be even bigger than shown compared to the veg room. Is the stud fixed yet? I'd be tempted to steal another 9" or a foot from the veg space. Vegging needs less space for two reasons - plants carry on growing as they flower so they end up bigger - a typical veg phase might be 30 days, a typical flowering time might be 60 days. So a vegging room running flat out can probably supply 3 or 4 times as big a flower space. Also you might be able to run a shelf in the veg space at a push.. All depending on what your aim is and how you want to do it of course .Keep up the good work, kewl thread.

Wow, nice. But I agree with farmergiles, no need for that size veg room. You can make bushes in there but the stretch is what will take up the space.

The 31 inches for height might be tight. The lite hangs from the ceiling(couple inches), the size of the lite fixture(7-8 inches), the distance between the light and the canopy(6-8 inches, depending on size of lite), the size of the pot(10 inches?) and of course the size of the plant. Some creative LST would be needed.

nice to see you have an RO filter. get the fluoride OUT!
it bio-accumulates like radiation and heavy metals.

I dont think thats 31" high, it looks like its 4' wide, 31" deep, and normal room hight of 7' to 8'. I do like the second layout with the 2 flowering spaces allowing for perpetual grows

Room looks great if your running carbon you pj an chlorine should be filtered out I myself have a larger veg room also cause I have a few diffrent mother plant strains that I like to keep in there. And in that case you would want a larger room another thing you want to do real important wrap your room in plastic from floor to sealing tape all seems. This way you really have a controlled environment easier to prevent and controll mold an pest. I didn't do mine at first it isuch better now wall mart or homedepot sells big rolls

I was going to use the big veg room for Mommy & Clones, I was planning on having 4 Mommy plants so I thought I probably would need that big space. I would just veg out the clones in that room and when the right time came around I would move them in to the folowering room and start the cycle again.
That was my plan, but please tell me what you think. Should I stick with the original design or use the second design? Thanks, Learning247 |

Momma plants don't have to be too big unless you need to take zillions of cuttings. But you can probably set things up so you can switch things around a little if need be anyway, your use of space does not have to be set in stone.
