tidbit about auto-flowerers
when planting your bean, do so once.
meaning- plant the seed in the container in which it will live its entire life. do not transplant auto-flower beans. auto-flowering beans will grow in size according to the potential of their medium. so- if you plant the bean in a small cup enjoy the 1/8 that comes out of it. lol. as opposed to a proper yield from a 5gal bucket or a hydro setup. live and learn ![]() then tell others so they dont fuck it up too.

No, germination can be done however you want just make sure you plant them in their final destination right off the bat.

Gotya, I totally have to agree with you. Did a couple in tiny buckets which turned out barely anything (6-7 inches tall, 3-5 grams/plant) and proved to be a complete waste of time. It is amazing how bigger they get and faster they grow. You can def increase your yield 5 or 10 fold with auto's by starting em off right.. I wouldn't reccomend growing 'em in small pots. Not even close to worth it!

I know man I was disappointed after doing them in bigger pots and seeing what could have been. Was yours a Lowryder #2 cross by chance?
Mine seems to be taking is sweet ole time gettin down to budding up after the pistils appeared. First experience with the Lowryder #2. |

The lesson I also have learned from this experience is not to flower them with CFL's. Even allowing them to get huge, there is very little bud formation. The preflowers at the node and main stem came at 5-6 weeks after veg, more pistils emerging for the last about 2 weeks, not a large amount, but some. Very disapointing.
Have 2 200 watt/equiv 45-55 watt 2700k CFL's - hung with the buld sideways across the top Have 1 200 watt/equiv 45-55 watt 5700k? CFL and 1 100 watt equiv/26 watt. Both placed on the inside between each. Thinking of adding 3 more of the large CFL's around it? Eventually a 150 watt HPS and the CFL's as supplemental lighting. Anyone else done anything with these amount of watts (150-175 actual watts for a 2*2 space maybe 2.5*2.5)? |

head, i think it's going to be worthwhile to go right for the nuts and get the HPS for flowering.
mine was under a 240w blackstar led half the time and a 1000w hps the rest of the time. i speak of it in the past tense because it is already in the past for me because im not going to get jack shit off it. however- it is still growing lol it has a few weeks to go but i am sure the yeild will be 4g or less.. pretty much the only way i would flower under floro is if i had spare lights and spare room. t5 for mothers and clones and HID for everything else. jump on it.

low yields were common among early autoflowering strains.
there are so many cross strains/hybrids now, I'm not sure if it's still true. but it used to be.

Yeah the flowering period has been a complete dissapointment. What I heard before purchasing the beans was that the Lowryder #2 was supposed to have better yields, etc than the original Lowryder. Not seeing it AT ALL. Def thinking a quick maturing under HID would be just about as quick with better yield and potency.
Did it seem the transition from veg to flowering went quickly? I started mine on 24/0 but have switched down to 18/6. |

The Double Diesel Ryders are now on 12/12. Went from 18/6 to 24/0 back to 18/6. Am wondering if these are totally autoflower? Been 7 weeks from seed already and while they are big for ruderalis-cross standards, flowering has came to a complete stop it seems. Wonder how much of a difference this will make?
