I bought a lite system that did the same thing to me. I couldn't figure it out and never did. It worked fine after that.

Those small systems get quite hot but you shouldn't have to have a fan pointed at it so it doesn't overheat. Just vent your growroom adequately and you won't have any problems.

You can keep your plants even closer. I keep my plants 8 inches from my 400 watters. I keep a small fan between the lite and the canopy of the plant.

Thanks fg and stoneric.. gonna make sure the bulb is in nice and snug before i turn it back on. I'll try moving the hanger down to about 6-7 inches. Will do the hand check method with 'em and see. I think the venting into the room has been more than adequate, it's about 80 degrees give or take at light level but with the another light I can see needing another fan or two.

Any opinions of this light? Dimmable fan cooled ballast, HPS/MH. Sounds nice.

Was going to get a 250 watter, but this sounds even better as I could use this 300, 450 or 600 watts I guess.

Just received my Sunshine Systems Growpanel45's. Got 3 for the price of 2, only $299 total with free shipping. The special price is good thru 12/30. Each panel consumes 28 watts and is the equivalent of 250 watts of HID lighting. Multispectrum and only 4 lbs each, these panels are great. Plus with the small size and light weight I can surround my plants with them. The best part is that the lack of heat & weight means I can hang these any way I want and my ventilation needs are now a lot less.

Waiting on seeds at the moment. Growing some herbs (basil, rosemary, cilantro, etc) for my wife with one of the panels and the other two will be used for my own crop. Set up a 4 site bubbler system for each with remote dayton SC blowers so other than the bubbler, the grow rooms themselves will be silent.
