this is my first harvest and I dont want to mess it up,I just cut the plant and trimed it up and then hung it upside down, am i missing anything : do I let it hang for about to weeks then its smokable. after I trimmed it it weighed about 14 oz how much weight will it lose when it dries

search the faq and about the wet weight to the dry weight, it could loose up to 75 % of the weigt it is now

Youll get about 1/4 to 1/5 of the weight you have now. Thats fully dried. I suggest laying it on screens or newspaper.

My personal routine is approximately three days hung (or until stems crack when bent) then 2 to 4 weeks in glass curing (mason) jars.

A much fuller flavour will be released by the curing process removing any last remnants of that horrid homegrown grassy taste.

Thats pretty much what I do, whatever you do make sure you cure for at least a few weeks you will gain a lot more taste and potency.

if your herb dries a bit too much, or if you just want to add some sweet taste to it, let it sit with part of an orange peel. a peal the size of a quarter is good for like an 1/8 oz. it only takes a few hours, but it makes it nice and kushy and smells yummy. some of my good friends taught me this trick and now i do it with all the weed i stash in tins.

When you got the bud in the mason jars, be sure to leave the jar open for like six hours a day. Keep it in the dark. The fresh air will keep mold off the bud. In about three weeks, you should have some primo ganja.

let it hang out and dry. not too long though, you dont want it too dry. sell it when its slightly moist so you get more for your money!

i know that this is old as fuck, but i say its okay to sell if its bomb weed and dry enough to smoke. doesnt have to be perfectly dried and cured.

Here's a twist to yer cut, flip 'n dry!

We're gonna need a 50$ bottle of booze.....Eh Bearsy??

or any Rhum or Scotch preferably Crown Royal...

Seeing as though budz are cropped in stages....we'll be doing flower Tops first..

Get out those sling glasses you never seem to use...and fill 1/3 with liquor.

Before you take off the leaves....and de-branch, stand your branches in the alcohol careful not to spill or tip the glasses.

Let them drink for at least 12 hours.... the smell will be intoxicating, the branches will change from green to a brown.

At this point, carefully remove the branches and now you can trim the excess leaf, which we make Hash with!

Still keeping as much of the branch attached to the bud as possible, makes for easier hanging and drying.

I'll stop 'er here 'cause there's are more than 1 way to CURE A BUD~

I stumbled upon this yrs ago-and have been doing it ever since because it gives such a sweet smell/taste to the product. Look at it like the pre-cure to the cure. there's no mistaking the bud in scotch and the same bud all natural.

I've never heard of anyone else inebriating the bud before the cure but I do it!
