White Rhino Strain Report (Using Template)

Thought I'd be the first to try this template. This is a strain I have run a few times since I was first given it from both seed and clone and for a ten buck strain it never fails to impress.

So here is a collation of White Rhinoism.

Strain Report For - White Rhino
Breeder - Nirvana
Seedbank - Nirvana

Grow room specs:
Indoor or out:
Indoor

Lighting if indoor (watts per square foot and type (HPS, MH etc), lamp details if you feel detailed)
Amongst a mixed strain garden powered by mixed lighting made up of 600W Nav-T HPS and 400W HPI-T MH running at around 35W per square foot.

Medium (mix and system)
Perlite heavy loam mix with a similar amount of castings as loam.

Ventilation and average temperatures (describe ventilation plus average day and night temps)
Active intake and exhaust. Carbon filtered exhausts.

Average Daytime Temp: 80
Max Daytime Temp: 85
Min Daytime Temp: 75

Average Dark Temp: 65
Max Dark Temp: 70
Min Dark Temp: 60

Grow style (trimmed, LST, SOG, ScrOG)
Non trimmed or trained but force flowered short. Not quite a SOG as the plants were given some space.

A couple were topped due to lack of room and needing to keep them in veg.

Fertilisers used (veg and flower ferts - type and amount)

Seedling/Cutting:
No fert, just a little rhizotonic.

Veg:
Age Old Veg full strength.
Worms way PSG half strength (bi watering).
Cannazyme
Rhizotonic

Bloom:
Age Old Bloom full strength
Age Old veg half strength
Cannazyme
Rhizotonic

Grow and Plant:

Germination: (x out of x seeds grew, method (dirt, paper towel etc and marks out of 10 for ease and vigour)

4 of 4 germinated.
4 of 4 female.
Germed in my normal mix, kept warm but no dome.

Vigour of vegetative Growth: (describe and marks out of 10)

Not much evidence of hybrid vigour here, steady healthy growth for sure but nothing above average.

Two distinct variations on type. One shorter and stockier with more bushyness but smaller less spread leaves. The second var was lankier in height and wider in girth despite not bushing up so much.

Vigour of flowering growth: (describe and marks out of 10)

Turned on the pace a little into flowering. Both produced thick sticky bud clusters with very little need for maintenance.

Yield: (Amount per plant and marks out of 10)

Lankier var yielded better than the shorter var and could on the outside be consider a "good" yielder, the other yielded less but was slightly more potent with a mildly better flavour.

Ease of growth: (describe and marks out of 10)

Not picky at all. Very easy. Needed a little extra care in flowering but was largely trouble free. Stretch in veg and flower was largely controllable.

The bushy var would possibly suit a ScrOG, stems are flexible despite being stout, however the large fan leaves may make it a nightmare to maintain. The lankier var would make a fairly ideal SOG plant with growth generally being centred on a large main cola and side branching being mostly vertical.

Dried Bud:

Appearance / Bag Appeal: (Consider the trichome coverage, the quality of manicure, the colour, the density, the amount of bud against stem/leaf etc, describe and marks out of 10)

Easy to trim, not too much leaf matter. A little less than rock hard but nicely formed none the less. The trichome coverage is great and generally elicits the reaction of "DAAAaaNK!".

Smell: (Consider the odour on opening the bag, on crumbling and whilst smoking, describe and marks out of 10)

The best description I have heard is "deliciously sweet whilst incredibly pungent, rotting fruit with a pine undertone", I'll go with that!

Taste: (Consider the smoking flavour, describe and marks out of 10)

The taste mimics the odour (sweet and pungent, rotting fruit with a pine undertone), very nice relaxing smoke, a little expansion but smooth as silk so coughs are avoided.

High Description

It's a pretty nice high but comes on slow and steady, creeper style, the afghan and Indian bring a nice mellow body stone with a contemplative frame of mind but there is something in there that get's the brain ticking and the mind alert alongside the body stone. A nice mix of head and body.
