Hey guys, need some help with some images for the FAQ.

Can anyone provide images for FAQs to be compiled of the below posts, all help will be credited of course

KNIFE HITS:

Ghostface:
you can hotknife with a pair or butter knives and unless you dont have a house your stove. heat the knives on your stove (gas or electric, i use electric) pick up the bud and pinch it between knifes and inhale. if you want take a plastic bottle and cut holed in the bottom and then cut it off. put some ice into the upsidedown bottle and stuff the lid inside ontop of the ice and secure it; use this to collect the smoke and inhale.

what we do is roll up a buncha tiny balls of bud and put them on some serving tray, usually the back side of a plate. you heat up the knives with the stove or a torch, then u use one knife and press it on a ball of bud. the ball of bud will stick to the knife. then before it burns away u serve it up to whoever is taking the hoot by squishing the bud/knife with the other hot knife inside the hooter(bottle without bottom). you can also serve yourself if you trust yourself to be steady. i always do this if im doing blades by myself, just squish the bud under your mouth and suck in. u could use a straw or something too i suppose.

we like to make nicer hooters outta glass bottles by removing the bottom of the bottle by scoring the edge with a dime or drill bit, then droppin a butter knife in. should give a fairly clean break. its also nice to get good knives. u can buy glass ones at headshops too which are dope. the best real knives ive used were there big thick ones stolen from a restraunt, the handles didnt heat up too quick.

Supplies:
-2 butter knives (they will not be usable for anything else after)
-1 plastic bottle
-Scissors
-Electical tape(Tape of any kind will do though)

Step 1: Tape the two butter knives together by the handles so that the blades are parallel to each other.

Step 2: Take your plastic bottle and unscrew cap, use your scissors to cut the bottom off of the bottle, now place your bottle to the side.

Step 3: After knives are securely taped together go to your oven, if u dont have an oven with gas burners you can use a candle or a blow torch of some kind.

Step 4: Place both blades into the heat source untill about 3/4 of an inch of the end of the blade is red hot.

Step 5: When knives are both red hot touch one of the blades to your nug, the nug should stick..put the plastic bottle to your mouth large side down. Now smush the nug in between the 2 red hot knives, moving the 2 knives in a somewhat circular motion while pressed against the nug. Put the nug with the burning knives under the large opening in the bottom of the bottle and inhale the smoke from the nug..repeat as necessary

BLUNTS:

This is for all the people that don't know how to roll very well. I will try to offer suggestions, advice, and otherwise for the perfect blunt.

Step 1.
Go to your local convenience store and buy a cigar. I would suggest Dutch Masters, but Phillies Blunts are easier for beginners. You want a tobacco leaf that's tougher, unlike the soft paper of a Dutch Master.

Step 2.
Make sure the ganja is properly broken up into small bits. The smaller, the better because it is easier to roll a nicer, more even blunt. Anywhere from a gram to an eighth is fine, but I would suggest beginners to experiment with a little less than a half eighth, approximately 1.5 grams.

Step 3.
Time to disect the blunt. A razor works well, but the more experienced blunt roller can crack the cigar with his/her fingers. I would suggest licking the area where you are about to crack the blunt, so it doesn't split in half or anything. Empty the tobacco and tear off the rounded part of the leaf. When there is nothing but the tobacco leaf left, you want to moisten the edges, so they will stick. Most people find this part disgusting, so water will work as good as saliva.

Step 4.
Once the paper is ready, it is now time to load the marijuana. Place it in more even than not. You want a little less weed towards the ends, a little more towards the middle. This affects the shape of your finished product.

Step 5 (Pay attention here).
This is usually the hardest part of the process. Now that you have the weed in the blunt, you're probably wondering, what do I do now? Well, pick up the blunt and hold it in front of you. Tuck in the side that is closest to you. By tucking, I mean, fold the side over the weed. Continue to do this until you think it is tight enough for you, but DON'T TUCK ALL THE WAY! After one side is tucked in, bring the other side over and lick it so it will stick. Make sure you watch your ends! The ends are the most important part.

Step 6.
You should have now completed the blunt. If you are successful, it should look something like this...

i did this post for blunt rolling, the pics are paint shop but kinda get the point across. ill take pics the next time i do blades and im going to smoke a half ounce blunt tommorrow because my buddy got these HUGE blunt wraps from some bc headshop so ill take n post pics of that too.

A little trick I made up for when you want to smoke small amounts with out creating too much smoke, its quite efficient too.


Hot clips


1. Take a paper clip and bend it in a way to create the largest and even surface area possible.

2. take a lighter and burn the paper clip to get rid of any nasty coatings or aNYTING YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO SMOKE.

3. I usually do this with kif or hash chopped of finely. It works with weed but hash oil or kif is better. lay your kif on a knife or a surface that won't melt. Heat up your clip and press it down on the kif.

4. Yuou know what to do from here.

Clearly taping the knives together is going to make it pretty hard to rub them together. Ignore the taping bit. The basic point as covered in all those examples is to make the ends hot, tap the bud ball with one knife and then press against the other, inhaling the ensuing smoke.

Lol at people not using a bottle for this and just sucking it up, that would be some harsh smokin'.

Damn he stole my idea for an ice hooter!


I'm going over to my buddies house tonite after work, we'll do a bunch of knives and take pics of a bunch of different "hooting techniques" if you will.


I have some videos taken by webcam of me doing blade hits. In all of the videos I show the camera the weedballs and the blades, then procede to heat the blades up with a propane torch, then take the hit. My face is always a bit off camera so I don't really care if you want to use them you can. They'd be perfect for people who don't know how to do them already.

The only problem is they're almost 1 gig each video. But they're all also ~1:20 long and the resolution on them is 640x480. So if anyone knows how to edit videos, you could easily edit them down to feasable sizes.

A hollow pen tube or a straw is what I usually use, small and work good. And you can still do hot knives with oil, just need a scraper and 1 less knife.

for doing blades with oil u just take a bread bag twist tie and take the paper off it, then make a loop on one end and dip it in the oil. heat ur one knife up and touch the oil to the knife under your hooter. be careful with the knife tho, u wanna try and hold it in a way that if the oil gets runny(most likely will) that it stays on the knife and doesnt run off. when we do this we use a spoon instead of a knife and flatten it with a hammer then when hooting hold it almost horizontal.

for the videos you could try n convert them to a smaller format such as xvid or divx, or possibily even real media. also is the total length necessary? you could just cut out all the excess besides like showing the bud balls and the knives being heated and then the first hoot.

Well no it's not necessary for most of the video. Editing videos is the one computer thing i've never touched on so I have no idea how to do anything to them.

I do that same thing for a scraper for hash oil. Take a paperclip and bend the end of it over once, then squish real good together so it looks like this:

Then you just gotta heat up 1 knife (if yuo use this for hash oil) and smear it on.


Tip: When using this for hash oil, make sure you are holding the paperclip so the end with the hash oil is lower than the end your holding. If it isn't, the oil will run down the paper clip wasting your hit and making your fingers all sticky.

I did some work with windows movie maker and got it down to a 3.26 mb video, but it's kinda choppy.

If Anyone knows how to save it so it's not choppy, and make the width/height of the video smaller, please tell me.

to explain the taping of the butter knives together....when i first started using hotknives i quickly found that if im using some sticky buds when they get heated the knives tend to slip on the nug. By taping them together parallel it restricts the sliding...(Somewhat like when you see the 2 chopsticks rubberbanded together at chinese places for beginners)

I dont understand how you can push 2 taped together knives closerstogether. I will re read that sometime when i am not stoned. I only do hot knives for hash myself.
Sometimes i use the bottle with bottom cut off, and just inhale tiny pieces of hash off my car lighter, its like hot knives but it cools down fast so small chunks only.
For oil i sometimes put a drop on a hot burning red quarter that i heated up on the stove and then flip onto a plate with a vise grip. inhale thru a cut off plastic bottle or straw.
