Either JFK was a nut job conspiracy theorist or he knew what he was talking about.
Since he was killed in a - questionable*- manner, I would have to lean towards the latter of the two. The debate over who pulled the trigger/how many shots were fired may never be definitively answered, but the fact remains that the route taken was not only out of the ordinary but dubious - at best

Some very insightful, well thought out posts took place and I feel .. cheated.. for lack of a better word.. that I didn't get to participate. About your post I quoted, Verk.. I can't see the call for a global currency as an awakening. As a matter of fact, I see it (and a call for global banking with the ability to manipulate national worth/value) as just one MORE step in the quest for elite control of resources/people. Add in to that equation the various systems to control other aspects (food, resources, jobs etc) and I see even LESS evidence of people becoming aware. What's even more distrubing is the lack of will amongst people to take the evidences found and do something with them to effect any form of change. It's like the post I quoted earlier... a fuck it mentality. Again, kudos to those in this thread that surprised and amazed me with the insight and thought given to these quality, albeit long, worth while posts.

i see where you're coming from entity and once believed much the same. like anything, it's a matter of perception. and the contention here is on the point of globalization.
globalization, to me, puts as many eyes as possible upon the goings on of our world. there is a potential for corruption as there is for any position of leadership, but it can only get harder with the whole world watching. if you ask me, it's easier to control a country or even several countries for your own nefarious purposes than it is to control the entire world< ESPECIALLY given the immense amount of information we share as a global society, and our nearly unlimited capacity to diffuse it. the internet is the real game-changer. we're all connected and there's no going back or warping it for personal gain.

Indeed.
While I do see more information available, I also see controls in place, where the strictest regimes happen to be, in order to control that information. In effect, nullifying it and the affects of it. Those that DO find work arounds to this and happen to get and disseminate the info find their very lives at stake. On a less eccentric level, we have those in open societies that either scoff at the idea of these controlling..ahem.."entities".. in place or simply couldn't be bothered with investing their time into doing something about it. Don't get me wrong here. I'm not advocating a global elite/illuminati type conspiracy. I'm working more in the lines of the haves vs the have nots and what I have witnessed being done to smaller/poorer countries by the likes of the World Bank and and the IMF. Effectively enslaving those people without their consent..unless you consider that their elected leaders doing agreeing to these things is consent by proxy.(which would further the point of information NOT being available/used) Once in place (the loans and subsequent mandates accompanying them) the will of the people is even further diminished and at that point, I'd argue that information be damned. Now they want to establish a global currency, with a central bank to set agendas and standards.. globally. Do you honestly think that THAT would in anyway benefit the average human? We're seeing the results, on a much smaller scale, of what has become of this country (corporate interest above all else) due to the Fed being instated and now IT wants control over ALL banks.. in the US. Given that as a model, how does one central bank, controlling all aspects of productivity in the world, for the ultimate benefit of the bankers (which is ALWAYS their motivation) help with the local (location irrelevant) person is his plight to survive the onslaught in what has become the manipulation of society via social standards? As with the Acts that have been passed, that cut freedoms in the promise of continued safety, that were, for the most part, not contested, how can anyone say for a certainty that living conditions, reasonable expectations of comfort, prosperity, etc won't become a similar casualty in the promise that it's doing good for humanity globally? This information, about how media manipulates the population through magazines, movies, tv shows etc is readily available yet people still gather around the proverbial water cooler on Monday mornings discussing the shite stream they experienced, individually, in, more or less, an effort to bond collectively. This only furthers the affects and, I would argue, is the result of the manipulation. If people were to truly take advantage of the information, they wouldn't be so easily duped day in and day out. This is what confounds me the most. The information is there, true enough. But people (en mass) tend to either ignore it or scoff at the very idea that it is either real or matters to them in their daily life.
