good move.

WASHINGTON -

David Kellermann, the acting chief financial officer of money-losing mortgage giant Freddie Mac was found dead at his home Wednesday morning in what police said was an apparent suicide.
The Fairfax County police responded to a 911 call at 4:48 a.m. at the suburban Virginia home Kellermann shared with his wife. The police wouldn't release the cause of death or say if a suicide note was found.

Kellermann, 41, lived in Hunter Mill Estates, a well-off neighborhood of large single-family homes with manicured lawns. County records show Kellermann’s home is worth about $900,000.

I just hope the rest will follow.

I bet he did it to himself over the guilt that comes with watching an entire nation of people getting the shaft from their own pres. and all his pals. Hope somebody gets him a nice tall glass of cold water. I've heard thats what people in hell want.

Ok, first off, the loss of human life is never a good move. I understand how many peoples lives he ruined - wouldnt it be better to suffer in some other way to expirience what he did to others?

I'm happy that he won't be in charge, but I would feel guilty saying I'm happy he is dead. I think something like sending him to live in a third world counrty with no communication would have been a better fit.

First, it takes an incredible amount of balls to kick the stool out from under you.

Second, he was appointed to the position after the collapse of the market, he was the one who was picked to clean up the shit pile.

If anything I think the last acting CFO of Freddie Mac should stand trial for homeboys murder.

Oh, one more thing. Fuck the press. What the fuck does the worth of his home have anything to do with his demise?

It wasn't the bankers alone who created this mess, they may have propagated and profited from it, but it was gullible sots who didn't think enough to get some professional help on their side when they jumped on the bubble. They just backed in, pants down, wallets open. No one got fucked by agreeing to shit that wasn't there in black and white, all anyone had to do was read it before they signed and if they weren't smart enough to figure out they were going to get fucked then they got what was coming to them.

banks and politicians conspired to inflate the value of the properties, more value = more speculation power, progressing exponentially untill pop goes the entire economy, which was financed based on an overly inflated real estate market.

Remember that old addage, "Invest in real estate, it's value only goes up".

True but @ it's own pace. Deregulation let everyone run wild, to the extent of totally illegal ventures.

a cowards way out.

yea, face your responsabilities.... ..not abandon a familly.

quitting wasn't an option ?

really.

because it takes a man to stand up and handle the amount of shit he was facing.

he did take the cowards way out, but I cannot be happy that anyone has killed themselves (maybe one or two exceptions throughout history maybe, like hitler, but still.....)

I hate to see intelligent people make bad decisions.

He worked for F.mac for like 16 years.
His position was just an advancement, as he well had knowledge of just how messed up things were getting as it was all happening.

bio...
Freddie Mac Biography: David Kellermann

David Kellermann was named acting chief financial officer in September 2008. Kellermann is a member of the company's leadership team and reports directly to CEO David M. Moffett.

As acting chief financial officer, Kellermann is responsible for the company's financial controls, financial reporting, tax, capital oversight, and compliance with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley. He also oversees the company's annual budgeting and financial planning processes.

Prior to this role, he served as senior vice president, corporate controller and principal accounting officer. In this position, his primary responsibility was to support the business with the production of timely, accurate, and well-controlled GAAP, fair value and segment earnings financial statements and external disclosures.
Before that, Kellermann served as the senior vice president and business area controller. As business area controller, he led the organization responsible for all accounting and finance for Freddie Mac’s lines of business. Kellermann has been with Freddie Mac for more than 16 years. He began as a financial analyst/auditor in 1992, worked for several years in the company's securities sales and trading unit, and has served in a variety of positions in the company's capital markets division, most recently serving as vice president strategy execution and integration and the Investments and Capital Markets division controller.

He holds a M.S. in Finance from George Washington University and a B.S. in Political Science and Accounting from the University of Michigan. Kellermann is a volunteer board member of the D.C. Coalition for the Homeless.

Freddie Mac was established by Congress in 1970 to provide liquidity, stability and affordability to the nation's residential mortgage markets. Freddie Mac supports communities across the nation by providing mortgage capital to lenders. Over the years, Freddie Mac has made home possible for one in six homebuyers and more than five million renters.

It's too bad the news media is all caught up in the celebrity.

I saw a news program tying all these MURDER / SUICIDES all over the country.

There were more than a couple of families who's dad flipped out and killed everyone.

Investors jumping out of window (that old one)

and Suicide Hotline Phone Operators taking more calls.

Did he die on 4/22?

Magick Numbers!?

If you are a night owl, be sure to spend some time viewing the Lyrid meteor
shower on the night of April 21 (leading into the 22nd). By midnight, Lyra,
where the radiant point is located, will be about 45 degrees above the
eastern horizon. By about 3 a.m. Lyra will be almost directly overhead and
the shower will appear to rain down.

I normally do not write about events in the morning sky unless they are
special, and April brings one of these special events. Shortly before 6:30 a.m.
on April 22, the moon will occult Venus. Venus will reappear about an hour
later, however this is after sunrise.

Check Out the Pretty Picture.

LOL at people thinking this is the cowards way out or that he "abandoned his family"

as someone who analyzes executive compensation for a living, i can tell you that his "abandoned family" is going to be JUST fine living the good life they always have.

also: obviously he was murdered by the same people who brought down the twin towers. conspiracy theorists, go!

kameelyunnnnnn i'm looking in your directionnnnnnnn

Quote:
I thank the good Lord for giving me 49 years of invigorating challenges, stimulating experiences, many happy occasions, and, most of all, the finest wife and child any man could ever desire. Now my life has changed, for no apparent reason. People who call and write are exasperated and feel helpless. They know I'm innocent and want to help. But in this nation, the world's greatest democracy, there is nothing they can do to prevent me from being punished for a crime they know I did not commit. Some who have called have said that I am a modern day Job. Judge [Malcolm] Muir is also noted for his medieval sentences. I face a maximum sentence of 55 years in prison and a $300,000 fine for being innocent. Judge Muir has already told the press that he, quote, "felt invigorated" when we were found guilty, and that he plans to imprison me as a deterrent to other public officials. But it wouldn't be a deterrent because every public official who knows me knows that I am innocent; it wouldn't be a legitimate punishment because I've done nothing wrong. Since I'm a victim of political persecution, my prison would simply be an American gulag. I ask those that believe in me to continue to extend friendship and prayer to my family, to work untiringly for the creation of a true justice system here in the United States, and to press on with the efforts to vindicate me, so that my family and their future families are not tainted by this injustice that has been perpetrated on me.

At this point, Dwyer stopped with his prepared text and called to three of his staffers, giving each an envelope. One of the envelopes contained a suicide note to his wife. The second contained an organ donor card and other related materials. The third contained a letter to Pennsylvania Governor Robert P. Casey, who had taken office only two days before.

After handing out all three envelopes, Dwyer opened a manila envelope and withdrew a .357 Magnum revolver, advising those in the crowd, "Please leave the room if you think this will affect you." Those in attendance cried out to Dwyer, pleading with him to put the gun down ("Budd, don't do this!", "Budd, this is not right!" and "Budd, listen to me!" can be heard off-screen). Some tried to approach him. "Don't, don't, don't, this will hurt someone," he warned.[5] Amid the cry of "Budd, Budd, Budd!" Dwyer put the gun barrel into his mouth and pulled the trigger. He collapsed against a wall in a sitting position, blood pouring from his nose and an exit wound at the top of his head, all in front of five television news cameras while the people were screaming and using profanity in shock. Dwyer was declared dead at the scene at 11:31 a.m
