Then we'd need more border guards to keep the Texans out.

How about some fun with numbers?

The Daily Texan - Whites no longer majority in Texas

List of Texas communities with Hispanic majority populations - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hispanics taking population lead | News for Dallas, Texas | Dallas Morning News | Latest News

The Latino Journal: Texas Hispanic 1st graders now majority

The Coming Hispanic Majority (This Rock: September 2005)

Looks, like someone beat Rick "the hair" Perry to the punch.

We just barely got it how we wanted it to look, now you goin' mess it all up.

Hispanic Americans have been secretly making pissing pilgrimages to the alamo since, Oooo...

We aren't going anywhere.

In fact, they're the ones that have got to go.

And "they" seem eager to.

Yeah, okay buddy, slow down there partner. You got boarder fences, boarder patrol (to increase), water, natural resources, , among many other things, that all need funding. Good luck with that. Taxes in Texas would surely go up dramatically not down as many of these hillbilly states are subsidized by us far wealthier northerners. States like Texas bitch and complain because FOX "New" is able to put together some teabaggers, etc., when the reality is that such states suck off government earmarks more than most others.

Hypocrites - go ahead, see ya later. America will be smarter with out you.

its notable in that a governor of a powerful state publicly mentioned it...i.e. the idea is out there, and there are many secessionist movements in the u.s., maybe to become more popular in the coming years?

Those who claim to know more than we, experts, said that USA had less than 20 years of staying as leaders of the world, and this are signs of it...

again, thats what the so called experts predicted...

I doubt it ^^ Sort of the same idea, but the quebec separation issue is much more developed and has been appeased (as a serious issue) in many different ways already.

It was all a publicity stunt for republicans now that the tea parties are over.

Just as a correction, looking back that the poll wasn't in the Daily Show, but from the Colbert Report the day before Jon quipped at it.

I didn't really think about this before, but I think a major influence on this was the "Gun Ban". You know how those Texans are... gotta have their guns. I'm not saying any law-abiding citizen shouldn't have a weapon to defend themselves. But here in Texas where I am... it's all about how many firearms you own... it's a status thing. "Look at all these things that I can kill with". Sad...

Rick Perry is a cowardly grandstander. Put your money where your mouth is Governor!

Quote:
U.S. Rep. Ciro Rodriguez, D-Texas, said Texas Gov. Rick Perry had requested 850,000 additional courses of antiviral medications (from the federal government) such as Tamiflu and Relenza, which can be effective in treating early flu symptoms.
