Seems to be a decision made without Obama even knowing. The fact that Caldera didn't tell anyone but actually gave orders not to say anything is what confuses me. And then they are doing it in D.C. again next week.

President of the USA is one of the most serious positions in the world. Anything to do with that position (his airplane) is done very seriously. So whether it was a legit mistake or not, it seems legitimate to suspect that there is some motive not being announced.

If you've ever been inside a fighter jet, you'd know why that's an impossibility.

The jets themselves (and anything else outfitted with that technology) can be controlled, and come that way from the factory. (F/A 18 being a prime example as that's the baby I was responsible for)

They are controlled from large stations. eg..the aircraft carrier, ground stations, AWAX (the flying radar station)

The only thing pilots are needed for is to start up/shut down the engines.
