Don't forget, legalizing cannabis was the no. 1 rated idea at change.org and change.gov. The Obama team rudely blew it off. Which is the height of hypocrisy given that the team set up the change.gov site specifically to ask the American people what kind of change we want to see.

On quickvote online polls, such as the one a few months ago on msnbc (too lazy to provide a link right now), where the question is "should marijuana be legalized?" often times the results are 96 percent in favor.

Public opinion is on our side. As such I think the way to deal is from the grassroots up. Local and State levels. Clearly we can't just elect a "liberal" president and then be like schoolchildren begging the teacher: "Pleeeeeeease legalize marijuana!"
