Obama and his Egypt Speech

I was just wondering if the President of the US must be Christian...then why he refered in his Egypt speech to the "Truth of Quran" like 3 times? And I also wonder why the media never show footage of that presentation. I know he has to be good with everyone, and respect them, but why does he give so much emphasis in the Quran? Not that I'm against the Quran but still...

I have an interesting article about what Jon Voight said:

I wonder why Voight would say that.

Who cares? He acknowledged our involvement in the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Iran in 1953 and he didn't kiss israel's ass. The rest was bullshit.

By those criteria, shouldn't it be hailed as a major speech instead of dismissing it as bullshit? Also, it may prove to have an effect on the Iranian elections today. Should the moderates win, I think Obama's speech will have played at least a small part in that.

Are you seriously this dense? He's speaking to a culture that believes in the Quran. If needed, I know enough about the Bible and it's teachings to translate a message of mine to someone who follows it in a language they understand, that doesn't mean I am a devout Christian.

Meh, he's just another butthurt Republican, who gives a shit?

Edit - And that article was fear based garbage. The guy had a disposition before Obama made the speech and now he's reading between lines that don't exist.

Quote:
In calling for a "world order," Obama blatantly said "Given our interdependence, any world order that elevates one nation . . . over another will inevitably fail." Does everyone understand what Obama is saying? In order for this new "world order" to materialize, no individual nation can be preferred over another--not even our own. In a word, no country can be allowed to maintain national sovereignty, independence, or military superiority. All nations must be willing to surrender their sovereignty and independence to the new "world order." Furthermore, all nations must be willing to submit their militaries to a new global military. Oh yes, my friend, all of this is inferred in Obama's statement.
Give me a f'in break.

I meant who cares about him mentioning the quran. I'm tickled from what he said about 1953 and his stance "against" israel. I thought the rest of the speech was a repetition of campaign speeches.

Well i don't' think so that this is as such big issue to be threaten in this way. Israel News are full of the issue .There are many peoples who gave preference for this but i think so that they were only the religious followers, that why they are arising it as an issue.
