Probably like alot of Federal Laws. BC's especially Vancouver's drug task force couldn't seem to care less about MJ.

RCMP seize 200 plants and are considering pressing charges was a headline I remember reading.

It's only a proposed bill at this juncture as well. Can't ANY weird ass thing get proposed, with out ever standing a chance of becoming a law?

it's canada, so it's not like the US where you can indict/propose a ham sammich, hahaha

but in all seriousness, don't bills go through a crazy amount of stages through the House of Commons and stuffs? like i'm pretty sure they vote on stuffs just to get proposed, and then a few more votes before they get them passed and shit.

ya, it gets treated differently in different places across this great country fo shaginaw. like in London, On i can walk down the street smoking a blunt, but get hassled for hitting my chillum incospicuously in Toronto..

and the compassion centre in London was the first one to get hit a few years back-- even before the van-city ones and the montreal seed bank [because marc emery's from london]

Thats a proposed bill, hasnt been passed, and I kinda doubt it will be any time soon. If I remember correctly anyways...

Our system of government is pretty solid, but right now the biggest problems (imo) are the way elections are focused around soundbytes and individual leaders image (instead of platforms and issues those leaders have, or better yet the party has) and how much power is aggregated in the PM's office and the PM himself. PM of Canada is nearly a king in some ways.
