It's good places have the right mind set. But jeez..What a hero that guy is. "Pushing for a tax on medical marijuana". If there's anything I agree with less than taxing marijuana in general, it's taxing marijuana for the sick.

yea i know what u mean man but the way i see it is this is the only and most likely way to get it generally accepted and adopted. it may not be the best way ever, but it convinces some people who dont just love it to start with so i guess its a good thing- it broadens the cannabis lobby

That makes no sense. How does regulation become a factor on a product that isn't legal to posess? What would have to be regulated?

Just because it's the easiest way doesn't mean it's the way we should do it. It probably would have been easier and more acceptable to turn the slaves into indentured servants, but instead we did the harder thing and free'd them completely.

.legalization..is probably what i had in mind...first you'd have to get the government to stop classifying it as a controlled dangerous substance

as usuall i was right the first-time
locally: anything would be an improvement

on the other hand hemp should be better utilized as a crop..
eventually someone's gonna have to either cut out the meat oftheir car

maybe it is we won't need as many in the future..sales have dropped considerably, if you haven't noticed

The only realistic conclusion is that if we legalize marijuana it will be regulated by the government, we probably still won't be able to grow it, and it could even be treated like tobacco (i.e. only certain people can grow or sell it), and the quality will most likely go down. I don't see how with this government it could go any way. If they can't make a dollar off it, why should they do it? It's always "Well, what can we get out of it?".

I believe you need a permit in most states to grow tobacco. It sounds a bit like the stamp act. And considering the new law on growing your own food, it doesn't seem like this is going to get any easier.

I am a bit confused about the Canada references and shitty weed. Speaking for my Canadian friends (was there last week) and others I have talked to. You can get a lisence to grow a medi crop, up to like 100 plants.

In the States here if weed is decriminalized/legalized/whatever the cops will not waste their time on PERSONAL crops. I am not loolking to grow a cash crop (none of us should), I just want my little patch of weed to grow and seeds to trade with other local growers (which is already going on across the country BTW). To me it sounds like a lot of people want to become rich on legal weed, where I just want my personal privacy to be honored.

As for the government selling weed.....? I buy wine from friends that make it, get as much produce from local farmers markets as I can afford, and so on. If a little effort and time is spent you don't have to suck on the Govt's tit for anything but your tax return.

I know Canada has since changed it's laws, but there was a few years where there were only a few select medical marijuana patients, and their only legal source was through the government. People complained that the marijuana was low quality, dry, and pre-ground into shake. I was sighting something that happened a few years back.
