G8, G20...Whatever....

I'm fucking tired of all these dirty little hippie punk "anarchists" at the g8 meetings and World trade organization things. The media has been portraying anarchists as stupid hippies, throwing molotov cocktails and tackling cops. It makes me wonder what the hell they're thinking. Do they actually believe that doing this shit doesnt make the millions of rational, non violent libertarians look like assholes? These kids just go out and smash shit to feel like theyre doing something for the world. But in reality they're just playing into the hands of the violent and aggressive system.

you hit the nail on the head ,

people dont dislike liberal causes like this one because they dont sypathize with the points they raise somewhat.

they dislike them because it seems much more like a bunch of college aged kids just having a good time and being in the "in" crowd and being "cool" by protesting the same way that every generation of college age kids has done since 1960.

its one thing to protest, but its quite another to actually do anything to change the system you are protesting- one is like a hobby that the "in" crowd engages in, the other is like hard work that most such people are far too lazy to bother with.

I have to agree as well. They are really just playing right into the hands of those trying to institute a stronger level of control. Whatever though, they are not that many and they are not going to ruin the true movement.

and THIS is why the cops in pittsburgh are so fucking aggressive. It's not to "silence" people, it's to stop Seattle 2.0 before it happened.
And it didn't.

Could be the so-called Anarchists are on the payroll of those trying to institute a stronger level of control. It's been done before, and it works well to discredit well intentioned people trying to make a strong statement against a non-receptive global oligarchy

or maybe the police who exhibit the actions you question are actually plants of the "anarchists" meant to spur on their movement.

*yawn* conjecture is fun.

I think people are just sick of not being represented to be honest. Not in all cases, sure. I support all protesters as long as they remain non-violent.

like i wish politicians could develop a new "way to be" in this modern semi utopian era....

i dont want every new president to start all sorts of ellaborate gov't programs and shit- they should just chill the fuck out-

the problem is that they gotta get people to elect them and the only people who will come out in droves are those who either feel the future of their country is at stake or that they will be given something in return.

i just saw some poll that said 56 percent of people support taxing the richest people in america at higher than 50%.... now think about that- the richest 1 or 2 percent is likely who they are talking about- and anybody who makes 200,000 a year is in the top 5% so even if ALL THOSE PEOPLE VOTED NO- there are still 45% of people who are less than wealthy who said the government SHOULDNT raise taxes on the rich and promote class warfare during a recession -

now think about how amazing that is - you would think that a poll like that would have like 95% voting for more money to be given to them (as they are not the richest) but NO, actually most of those people realize the stupidity of such a regime - so then what comes next thats even more amazing- some liberal news outlets post the 56% figure and make it seem like its such a shocking majority that supports higher taxes- clearly based on what i just showed, 56% is surprisingly LOW! for this - but as long as the liberal news can use a poll to further their agenda- so be it.

i want the president to set the tone - deal with foreign policy and keep his eye on the ball in case we have to fight to defend ourselves and ish - but other than that they should STAY THE F OUT Of OUR BUSINESS!

Yea, the american government should stay out of america and into the rest of the world.

That's where our tax dollars should go!
