Actually, many people here (Yahooka) tends to live up to their ideals. Kamee, for example, is well known for being a very strong activist and has posted videos of himself actually at these protests and other rallies.

When I was referring to 'the room', I meant the greater room, the world, as a whole...not this single website. I thought you'd get the metaphor...thought wrong.

Anyway, I think this has gone on long enough and the thread is near closure if it continues...so if you have more to say, you can PM it.

you bolded the first sentence and tried to use it as some sort of weird way to make everyone not like Egotripping because he thinks "we" or "the room" are stupid/boring/whatever...but completely neglected to address the second unbolded sentence which proves Ego's original intent without question.

And now you're trying to paint Ego Tripping like he's changing his story to cover himself or something...which is a DOUBLE fail.

dunno, never met him. But he speaks coherantly and doesn't contradict himself within the course of two sentences very much. So he and I tend to get along on these boards, most of the time. We've had a few disagreements in Spiritual Smoke and the like, but its always civil since we both base our debate-points in facts and logic.

guess I missed your continuation of the thread.

Once again, you fail to use reading comprehension because you're choosing to argue instead of listen and respond.

Ego and I are always civil to one another because we base our debates in logic, facts, and non-personal attacks.
Since you fail in this department, his responses become increasingly personal, as the issues wanting to be discussed have to be put on hold until you (or whomever) stops their non-sequetors and contradictions and gets back on track.

In fact, you once again bold a part of a sentence because it gives you fodder to attempt to "argue" with me or someone, but completely disregard the context of the bolded sentence,completely owning yourself in the process.

here is the quote. I've italicized your original bolding, and bolded the part that destroys your subsequent attempt at discrediting my original point:

In spirit I'm a socialist, I suppose, although I have issues with that too. I am also, however, a realist. I recognize that socialism (and communism, to a greater degree) have never worked as well as they should because of the human condition. I think if humanity ever gets over its obsession with the "me first" mentality, communism would be the utopian style of government of present political theories. We do not live in that utopia, so I also recognize this is illogical at the present time.
And while communism has a "leader" the actual utopian concept is that the leaders are "the workers."
Are you familiar with marxism? Do you know the communist theory? If so, I'd be happy to discuss this with you (probably in a new thread as this is OT). If you're just throwing out terms you don't understand, I have no interest.
I get so depressed when I see Americans calling Obama a fascist AND a communist.
