Well, he did say over and over in the campaign trail that he would 're-focus' efforts on both Afghanistan and Pakistan, so anybody that thought he would pull out of the war(s) were impressing their expectations on him...he was quite clear that this is exactly what he intended to do. Interestingly enough on this issue, he's actually living up to his campaign promises. :/

Now if the latter half of the promise holds true, I'll be quite amazed (pull out before the first term ends).

Whatever though, The Presidency (even though they call it the Commander In Chief) obviously has little to no sway over what the military industrial complex wants. There's clearly something we want there, I'm guessing it has to do with oil and opium.

israel is constantly barking about Iran so getting troops into position to appease the mother country might have something to do with it.

Did anyone truly believed things would change with obama? Have we not learned from history that its always the same bullshit? I mean he was the lesser of two evils, he wasn't a savior, come on its politics...

Change comes from the people not from the politicians...

The constitution begins by stating "We the people" not "we politicians"...
