The republicans are turning themselves into the village idiots of politics in this country, except that the village idiot is amusing some times. They need to re-invent themselves in the worst way. They're like an old person who complains constantly that the past is better, all the while spouting the racism and other backwards thinking that were the true hallmarks of that time. Reagan is dead, dumbasses. Gingrich is gone. Time to start looking forward, to find a position to defend rather than just attacking positions, and definitely time to REALLY stand for lower taxes and smaller government (not just being the alternative to the "tax and spend liberals").

Olbermann made light of Paul's mock nomination also. Made some reference to the john birch society.

Note that this fascist was mocking a Ron Paulite who had spoke before him actually supporting the pro-gay rights groups. there is at least one difference between libertarianism and conservatism. it's called civility.

Conservative In Name Only. I know the libertarians are against torture as is every sane person, including true conservatives. That's why I asked why they even associate with that crowd. And I can't imagine there were many dems in attendance.

obviously, if you are under 25, you can't vote, so it doesn't matter

but I do show—thanks to a lot of in-depth interviews with GOP sources—how they plotted to obstruct Obama before he even took office. I show how the stimulus was chock full of stuff they claimed to support until Jan. 20, 2009—not just things like health IT and the smart grid and energy efficiency and scientific research, but the very idea of Keynesian stimulus. Every presidential candidate in 2008 proposed a stimulus package, and Mitt Romney’s was the largest.
