True, but science is far ahead of society already, I mean we have the technological knowledge and resources to give a job, house and feed the entire population on the planet. We should start cutting funding on science and work on applying it full scale, the only problem is old geezers holding on to the money.

We should work to master inner space before we even consider outer...

I meant we should stop the funding of science and start applying to society on a full scale the findings of the last 200+ years that science has contributed. You know, geothermal energy alone could power the globe, why isn't that among the top priorities on the UN? One fix at a time, priority.

Thats what I believe, science has already surpassed our needs, now we need to start using that knowledge and take it to the masses, use science for the betterment of society, not to sell us a new and improved cellphone every 3 months.

ok well i guess i kinda agree with that,

but i still think we need to develop new tech and science because what we know now isnt enough (to make life on earth perfect) we need to discover things like cheap easy renewable energy, cheap easy renewable disease resistant crops, etc etc....

Tell me ONE area where our knowledge isn't enough to reach sustainability. We have the knowledge to provide water, food, housing, energy, education, health, anything we need. The only barrier is, as it was in rome and every other empire, economical, old people holding on to their positions of power. Money is the only barrier.

Which is just bullshit, if we can go into insane debt to pay for wars, we can certainly go farther into debt to reach sustainability, after that money will be useless, it won't be needed.
