Our time is now....
People who live in the states effected by the oil spill need to get on the relegalization bandwagon as this is an election year and the polls will be open. There are a lot of pissed off people who need to understand that we could be processing our fuels from hemp instead of oil. This would eliminate offshore drilling all together.
The time is now. Start as soon as you read this. Get an initiative going. Get off your ass and do something. Let them know the government is to blame for this by keeping hemp from competing with oil. ![]()

Do you think it's ever going to be feasible to replace all the world's, or even the USA's petrochemical demand with hemp derived products?

we can replace all the people who assume its not possible to replace it with any combination of other methods. hemp isnt the only answer but its a step in the right direction. at least it can be grown almost anywhere instead of having to bargain with nut jobs for the treasure in their backyard.

Somebody is FINALLY catching on to what we are saying and what I have been saying for 20 years now. Lots of great videos on You Tube all about this. Many of them are on here.

If it was possible to switch from hemp and other more natural sources to oil in less than a decade why is it hard for you to believe we can switch back?

For all of his faults H. Ford originally made his first automobile to run on Hemp fuel, as well as used hemp fibers in the construction of it. Even if we were to simply start making our consumer products out of plastics derived from hemp we could cut out so much of our dependence on crude oil, hell the plastic we could make using hemp would be biodegradable as well... seems like a win-win to me...

Not to mention if it reached that scale, it would no doubt be in the hands of a major corporation, putting everything back to square one. I'm not in any way shape or form suggesting hemp oil is a bad thing, just be careful what you wish for, or you'll end up getting the rain forests hacked down by BP (or equivalent) to grow more hemp. Realistically, it'd be way more possible for someone to corner a small section of the market with hemp oil, i.e: Government funding for hemp oil to fuel a green public transportation sector, start on a potentially realistic scale.

That's why I think it should be phased in, in consumer products first, then moving it into the Auto, and Aerospace fields...

Such a change would require an all-consuming consciousness shift in the way we view energy consumption.
I just don't see that happening, sadly.

The corn we grow is useless.. it's not edible.. you can basically just feed it animals or make corn syrup out of yet. Yet, it's subsidized by the government, and so, that's the only reason our US farmers continue to grow it !
Just buy hemp whenever you can and suggest others do the same. If anyone is actually serious about going green, then they should love hemp. You cannot refute the science.
