are f22s and f35s really "force multipliers"?

the rand corporation did a controversial study a couple years ago which analyzed among other things the performance of f22s and 35s against chineese russian made Sukhois and found that despite the amazing tech of the american planes, that by adopting certain techniques like attacking the refueling tankers the chineese planes could overwhelm the smaller number of f22s and f35s protecting taiwan compared to the masive number of chinese planes...

since the american planes are more expensive , it begs an important question- will the advantages gotten from having better tech make up for having less planes comparatively to countries like china that can afford 3x as many because they cost less...

if not, as the rand corp simulation worries some, then wtf are we doing spending all our money on the expensive planes....

im not some four star general david petreus type who is out there with all the info making these deciisons.... but i do know that for 25 years now america has been the undisputed king of the skies, and if we arent careful some other country might develop techniques under the radar that we could one day wake up and find what we thought was an insurmountable advantage actually had certain weaknesses ("any attack against this battlestation would be a useless gesture no matter what technical data the rebels have obtained"..... hmmm ? star wars redux? )

so yea, im no expert, but these experts better make sure that if we're paying for the best planes in the world that we are actually getting what we paid for....

I'm sick of all the weapon and harm technology being flashed like a global dick-sizing competition, personally. It's all to insight fear out of insecurity. It saddens me that defense and offense are so heavily funded in every country.

Bill hicks once said (paraphrased), "There has never been a war that wasn't a civil war". S'all I really gotta say.

Shortly after the first hostile contact, the F-22 will be known as 'The World's Largest Distributor of Sukhoi parts.'

It is well known that ruski planes are better value by orders of magnitude. So no j, you're fucked if it ever comes to it.
