I must say, after the holocaust, her words do smack of political incorrectness, to say the least. But DAMN she sure has a way of telling it like it is, in light of how the Israelis have committed their own holocaust against the Palestinians all these decades, and especially in light of what's going on now!

When every other reporter was asking about the oil spill --- which, to be sure, is an important but not exactly politically sensitive issue for a reporter to ask about --- she was the only one to ask Obama about the Israelis' murder spree when it first happened. She previously asked Obama about Israel's nukes, when everyone else was asking about Iran's alleged weapons, and the hypocrisy there.

Helen has now issued a retraction:

“I deeply regret my comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians. They do not reflect my heart-felt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance. May that day come soon.”

To whomever forced her to say that, I ask:

Does the open-air prison that is Gaza, reflect "mutual respect and tolerance?"

In the American media, Israel can do no wrong.

If you support Israel as State, as a right to the people who originally lived on that piece of land because they have now urbanized and populated the area with a large jewish population, then how do you not support the return of much of the land taken by force from the Native American tribes and Mexico for that matter as well, during the period of manifest destiny in America?

That's exactly what happened.

So dow we have an immigration problem with the borders, or are the Mexicans just coming back to their homeland that was taken from them about 160 years ago?

Problem with resettlement- once the settlers have lived somewhere a generation or two then they arn't settlers anymore and you can't send them back.
There is a bad situation now and there is no easy solution.

I used to support Israel when I didn't know much about the country or it's people but over the years I've seen how many women and children they have killed and it's disgusting. Israel does no wrong in the eyes of the U.S. Government. They never have to answer to anyone about nukes or even disclose they have them...it's fucking a joke.

Palestinians are wrong the way they brainwash their children but it's like David and Goliath...what do you expect them to do? Look how they live, all because of the JEWS.

I see nothing wrong with what Helen Thomas said, actually I applaud her for it.
