I'm going to be keeping a step by step dairy on my bathroom blog if anyones interested, it's one thing writing abour bathrooms, its quite another re-modeling one yourself!

Try to start with a flat surface, remove any high points with a bolster or a scraper. If the surface to be tiled is very uneven or falling apart consider sorting it before you start.

Keep everything plumb and level from the start- once you go out it's very difficult to get back.

You need silicon sealant to waterproof round the edge of the bath. Before applying the sealant, fill the bath 2/3 full of water. Let the sealant cure then let the water out. This avoids a gap opening around the bath when it is full.

BTW, are you sure you're on the right forum?

I'm sorry. I didn't say that right. Take two.

I think it's important to be respectful of people while disagreeing with them, too. Thanks for pointing that out.

I changed your quote because I'm a woman. No offense meant.
