what would you do if you weren't a "slave"?

You seem to know all about it and know that it is detrimental, so what would the next step be...What do you want for society? For yourself? For the masses?

You have done more than enough illuminating and talking/"bitching" about it, so please offer up some real meat,

HOW WOULD YOU MAKE IT BETTER, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE??

The next step is letting others know...

Change is a decision that we must make as a group, if I decide what our society should be like, then it is MY dictatorship. Thus, we all need to understand the reality of things, so that we can, as a group, decide the future of society. Thats why the next step is letting others know, it is impossible to attain true change without waking the sleepers first.

I dig the Mafia II video game footage in the doc.

Other than that, I have a lots of counterpoints but i'm pretty sure they'd just be ignored.

slavery = freedom? wtf retarded logic is that

You're in a cage because you're not 'one of the rich people and/or controlling others?'

Apathy and ignorance is the downfall of society, nothing more.

As Grieves said, if you don't have a solution, all you're doing is bitching about what you don't have.

Seems like most of the concepts are cribbed from Orwell.

Actually I'd be glad to hear your counterpoints, I mean, that was the purpose of posting the video, to get responses.

Slavery is freedom is quoted from "Orwell's 1984", read it and you'll understand the phrase.

As to a solution, I give you the same answer as I gave Grieves, I can't force people into accepting MY solution, however I can help them understand society at a higher level so that they can reach their own conclusions so that a true consensus can be achieved without the need of a few representing the many who don't understand.

I have read it, and there's a reason why it hasn't happened in the 80s.

For the animal section, animals are afraid of death. The animal kingdom has quite a bit of forethought in its instincts. That's why ants/termites farm their food, why bears store fat to hibernate, and why squirrels store food for the winter. Just because they don't respond to human threat doesn't mean they aren't planning for their survival.

As for the increase in farm technology, its essentially saying that subsistence farming is more beneficial to society than specializing, which the benefits of comparative advantage for everyone is Econ101.

As for destructive climax, animals and the earth will survive no matter what humans do on its surface, because it exists in timescales beyond our own.

Now as for tax farms, urbanites don't want to pay for subsidized food just like farmers don't want to pay for urban transport systems, but eventually someone has to make that decision. Rome fell because of its tyranny, not because it was prosperous. If our economic freedoms and liberty that are being increased are feeding thieves and parasites that are destroying our economic freedoms, then how are we continually increasing our economic freedoms and liberty?

This film has said that increases in liberty is profitable yet somehow detrimental as well. It jumps between what's been good for everyone and 'the ruling class' without distinction.

We are 'allowed to choose' our activity, which is what specializing and economic wealth is all about. We are also 'allowed' to start our own business or run for government as well.

'Indoctrinating the young,' is pure fantasy, especially in the modern era where its common knowledge that the largest voting blocs to 'keep rulers in power' are senior citizens and the youth being the most apathetic to what the 'rulers' are doing.

I agree that there is a lot of misdirection, but this film is also apart of that. The real issue is not that we are slaves, it's that government isn't doing what we want them to do. That however, is an uphill climb when we all have different opinions on what we want them to do.

It's not the government keeping us down, it's ourselves. Which, we really aren't doing.

If you want to make the world a better place, you have to change the idea in people's minds that violence/coercion can be used to solve problems. This is the root of all our problems. That you can outlaw, kill or conquer the bad in people's hearts. Because the reasoning we use to take such actions IS the bad in our hearts.
