sure. I just downloaded (and watched) the whole first season (minus the episode on global warming...which I'm gonna watch now!) last night because I get a kick out of these kinds of shows...but to clarify:
the "improv" scenes in the command center with his "researchers" is scripted and acted so badly, that it insults the viewer into thinking he's approaching these theories from a neutral position. IE: "I just learned about X, and now I want to investigate." Then the resident 'skeptic' Alex says some bullshit rhetorical question like "so you're telling me...." and then Jesse gets to deliver 'the egg' (the zinger at the end of scenes) like "that's exactly what I'm saying!" Or June or the other random white guy being all "I just found this picture...take a look." bullshit you just found that. You're on a t.v. set. And that picture has been around for a long time. Are you conspiracy theorists, or idiots? My student in a class here in JAPAN knew what the Montauk Monster was...and you, Jesse Ventura, conspiracy theory book writer and overall conspiracy believer are going to stand there and try to tell me you never heard of it? It makes my eyes roll every time they force that crappy veneer over the show. then there's obviously fake "immediacy" forced on everything...like Jesse on an airplane getting a call and turning the plane around (lol), or Alex Jones meeting him in an abandoned bar or airplane hanger "to be private." The elaborations, indulgences, and overall crappy directing of these episodes makes them fun for conspiracy enthusiasts or those of us (like me) who find a lot of them interesting (even if they are loony toons), but in terms of actually exposing anything or making a case for these issues, this show drowns under the weight of its own self-importance and "faux-reality-tv" vibe. Not to mention that after I watched an episode on the Denver Airport (and being interested in what was shown) it took me 5 minutes to realize the bait and switch performed on the t.v. show...omitting aspects that contradict the theory, sensationalizing aspects or flat out lying about others....like the "new world airport commission" and its apparent non-existence. stuff like that. For the record Kamee, I get a kick out of the show. But credible it is not.

I understand your position and I completely agree with you that the dialogue of that show is obviously scripted, transparently so. And in order to be on corporate TV and attract the ratings, the producers feel the need to go with the over the top grandstanding with regard to the style, music, etc.
However, imho this does not affect the actual credibility. The credibility is contingent on the facts presented within. Facts are facts regardless of how they're presented.

i thought he was refreshingly honest and genuine person during his political phase..i can't comment on the series because i haven't seen any(i am interested in the episode posted though)
as far as the corporated TV thing, that's ventura being ventura..a libertarian capitalist with an engaging personality... one quibble: how facts are presented(medium) is extremely important(context) cherry picking would be an example of what (i think) JcP was referring to

For instance, 2+2=4, and therefore martians have taken over Japan. I presented a fact, but I am far from credible. And the biggest destroyer of credibility is manipulation. When I found out the REAL truth behind those paintings in the denver airport, I was actually kind of pissed off at the show for how the tried to spin it. ed#2: but again, fun watch! Thanks for sharing!

First season episodes were good, but, I think its going the same route as "penn & telle's bullshit". Their first season was gold, but then, to milk the cow they made more seasons with crap themes, and it started sucking more every season until the day they did a show defending wal-mart and to me it lost all credibility. Well, the same is happening with jesse, IMO, these new episodes are crap, "animal research center", "area 51", IMO crap themes.
@JcP you are spot on on the improv scenes, but it has to be made like that, they have to act dumbfounded because it just wouldn't work if they came out just stating facts, people who didn't know anything about it would just change the channel, they need to go step by step so people who are not aware of the stuff can develop some kind of interest in it.
