WTF happened to the Republican party? Our first Rep pres was Lincoln, and our last was GWB, with a long descent into stupid in between. But this last sharp turn downward on the IQ scale has got me bewildered.

The Republican party was founded on a platform of human rights. And regardless of the abuses of the government during the Civil War (the draft, the income tax, our first fiat money, total war against the southern states, etc.), it's goals were still something defendable. Now it seems like "Stupid and fuckable" are the primary qualifications for the GOP's top figures. They've gone from the party of racial equality to the party of racism (through their anti-obama arm, the Tea Party), and I think it's time to call time of death and wheel the GOP to the morgue.

We really DO need a party of limited government, liberty and property rights to offset the current trend of "borrow and spend your way to prosperity" that dominates Washington (and the 50 little washingtons in our state capitols), but this retard circus the GOP represents is not it. They're just an embarassment, now.
