San Bernardino County Pot Ordinance

http://www1.sbcounty.gov/landuseserv...20Item%205.pdf

Just thought I'd share this with you all. It is a series of memos that came attached to the "Planning Staff's" recommendation that all dispensaries be banned and all marijuana grown indoors.

The thing that gets me is the pure arrogance of some of the emails. They talk about people who smoke marijuana as a nuisance. They are obviously out of touch with rational thinking. For example, check out the first letter from the Drug Free RC (Rancho Cucamonga, yes, the city from the movie Next Friday). If you go through their bullet point list you will see many things that can be refuted and that shouldn't effect the judgment.

Also, I guess this was the case that was built up for banning marijuana dispensaries and whatnot. I'm assuming since ther rebuttal is alllll the way at the bottom of the page that they didn't care about what you or I thought.

Enjoy. And I'm assuming that we can feel free to email these people and let them know what we think.

I live near there. San Bernaghetto sucks ass. It doesn't surprise me that their civil servants are fucktards.

Yea I agree. My district supervisor is Josie Gonzales. A real class act.

Anyway, I was looking through the PDF in greater detail and someone mentioned that because the ordinance will increase electricity use, environmental clearances will need to be met. Basically, they need to do a study showing electricity use before and after and the possible imActs that will come of people growing plants indoors. We shall see.

DdC isn't on this already ?

this is just because soooooooooooo many dispensaries opened at all one time.

to the prohibitionists it was simply overwhelming.

and naturally, they have to over-react.

their arguments were trite.
and unsubstantiated.
with no valid statistics.

however their control over county administrators is obvious.

I'm really surprised they didn't choose ban all medical marijuana period...If allowed they could ordinance away all medical marijuana .

legally, for that county, and make it stick.

cities and towns individually have that right/power also.

in spite of this...

It's good to see you on YaHooka again.

(yes, it's still me )

Im beginning to realize everyone is just going to do what they want. There is no regard for laws. It is just the wild west.

The thing I'm wondering is, they have sat on their hands for quite some time. Purposefully wasting time. Now, it appears that they overlooked the fact that they might need to do an environmental impact study before the ordinance can take affect. I wonder if the moratorium on dispensaries will have to be lifted given the time period for the moratorium is almost up.

I live right next to what I consider the greatest city in the world when it comes to dispensaries, Santa Fe Springs CA. See, when your daytime population is nearly 15 times your constant population, business tends to get what they need to thrive and in an economy where 2/3rds of industrial rentals are vacant, growing and selling pot is just another business.

I'm actually in Whittier, Weedwax has been trying to get me to come smoke out with him for years but I don't want him to find out I'm really a cop.

The absolute best dispensary I have ever been to is called "Premium Organic Treatments" in Anaheim. They offer a 10% out of county discount and always have that super duper. When I can't mk it out there I go to that farmers mrkt place in Riverside.
