Drug WarRant Book Club
Pete Guither 4.28.11 Wow. I can hardly wait for the release date on this one by Paul Chabot. ![]() It takes a powerful lack of intelligence to put those in the same category, but make no mistake about it, Paul Chabot is up to the job. He explains the importance of having a book like this… Quote:

From 1976-1985 it was known as Straight, Inc. and had a reputation for abusing kids as a drug rehabilitation program. Mel Sembler and his wife Betty founded Straight, Inc. In 1985 it changed its name to Straight Foundation, Inc. in order to protect its money and its principals from civil suits. In 1995 it was changed again to Drug Free America Foundation. Blasphemy Archeology discovered Hashish incense in the temples, did Jesus inhale? ![]() Pat Robertson, voice of sanity in the Drug War “We’re locking up people that take a couple of puffs of marijuana and the next thing you know they’ve got ten years – they’ve got mandatory sentences and these judges, they throw up their hand and say ‘What can we do, it’s mandatory sentences.’ We’ve got to take a look at what we’re considering crimes, and that’s one of them. I mean, I’m not exactly for the use of drugs, don’t get me wrong, but I just believe criminalizing marijuana, criminalizing the possession of just a few ounces of pot, and that kind of thing, I mean it’s costing us a fortune, and it’s ruining young people. The young people go into prisons, they go in as youths, and they come out as hardened criminals.” Ethics in Religious Zealots? Is that like Military Intelligence or Political Morals or Peace Officers or Sane Drug Worriers or Corporate Citizens or Compassionate Republicans? Sounds like Rush on Oxycontain, I mean an Oxymoron. This is where Louis Armstrong was born in 1901, and where the first recorded American use of “marihuana” occurred in 1909. Quote:
Thank you Miss Rosa Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and MMJ Prohibition ![]() Can America End Up With Civilian Prison Labor Camps? Our American Army units are legally authorized to establish civilian prisoner labor camps on the very lands of military installations that our taxes pay for. These actions are authorized by a little known regulation which permits these acts under the request of the Bureau of Prisons. This regulation is Army Regulation 210-35. This is not a newly established law laid out by the Obama administration but rather one that was defined under the Bush administration when they were expanding the presidential powers during any emergency situation. Shoot to Kill (In case of Martial Law) “To date, there are more than 11,000 members of InfraGard.” “From our perspective that amounts to 11,000 contacts . . . and 11,000 partners in our mission to protect America.” He added a little later, “Those of you in the private sector are the first line of defense.” He urged InfraGard members to contact the FBI if they “note suspicious activity or an unusual event.” And he said they could sic the FBI on “disgruntled employees who will use knowledge gained on the job against their employers.” One business executive, who showed me his InfraGard card, told me they have permission to “shoot to kill” in the event of martial law. InfraGard is “a child of the FBI,” says Michael Hershman, the chairman of the advisory board of the InfraGard National Members Alliance and CEO of the Fairfax Group, an international consulting firm. ![]() Berga Labor Camps Prisoners at Dachau were greeted with with the words “Arbeit Macht Frei” — work makes freedom. ![]() THC driving limits could cause more innocent people to spend months in jail, attorney says On Monday, the Colorado Senate will take up HB 1261, a bill that sets THC driving limits at five nanograms per milliliter of blood — a level to which many critics object. Indeed, even its sponsor, Representative Claire Levy, now thinks this number may be too strict. But attorney M. Colin Bresee says the problems run much deeper — including test results that can take months to come back and prosecutors who don’t understand them when they do. full story Cannabis use and Driving The Obama Admin's Anti-Marijuana Manifesto Multiple DEA Raids Obama: Drug Legalization Hil and Gil on the Drug War ObamaCare's Medical Marijuana ![]() The Counterculture Colonel Bud Beats Mairdinol for Pain The 'Virtues' of Ganja The Politics of Pot The Corporate Muzzle Trolls of Fascism Pro Life? Not even anti abortionists… ![]() THE NAZI COMPARISON by Dr. John Beresford Drug War prisoners that I correspond with call themselves POWs. Some write "POW in America" in the corner of an envelope under the writers name and prison number. "Political prisoner" and "gulag" are terms that enter conversation. Solzhenitsyns The First Circle and The Gulag Archipelago are works sometimes referred to. America's vast network of prisons, boot camps, and jails invites comparison with the detention machinery of former totalitarian regimes. The certainty of conviction that an accusation of a drug law violation brings -- through confession (95 percent) or trial and a finding of guilt (the remaining 5 percent) -- matches the idea of automatic conviction that goes with popular belief about the nazi and communist systems. "Nazi" is a term used by Drug War prisoners and non-prisoners alike, as though it were a given that the mentality behind Nazi behavior a half-century ago and the operation of today s Drug War is no different. continued Dr. John Beresford Has Passed Dr. John Beresford died on September 2, 2007 in a hospital in Canada. British-born John Beresford began his psychedelic research interests in 1961, when he resigned his post as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the New York Medical College and founded the Agora Scientific Trust, the world's first research organization devoted to investigating the effects of LSD. In contrast to Leary's invitation to "tune in, turn on and drop out," Beresford wanted to keep LSD in proper perspective as a tool of scientifically trained specialists. In 1999 I republished an article Dr. Beresford wrote comparing the Drug War to Nazi Policies. In his honor I'm republishing the article The Nazi Comparison. (above)

Two words marked the beginning of the end of any ethical basis for our laws and government: Zero Tolerance. The fact that, upon their first utterance, these words did not raise red flags for every soul that heard them, is the real tragedy, however.

young people have learned the art of "the hustle", and realize now that it's only a paper moon.
they dash at windmills , created for their distraction while the real crimes flourish - deeply embedded. a broken dream/promise that cannot/will not, be fixed with today's tools.
