I think Space is the place where humanity should 'rise' above it's Earthy troubles and cooperate on going at it together..... and with all the money issues around the world, I think it's becoming a necessity.

I think completely backwards. I think we shouldn't even look at the stars if we haven't learned to coexist on earth. Money should be better spent.

I'd put this on my list before my comments as I feel it's truer than the consolatory point I wrote.

Space IS that place that can bring us all together and begin a more global cooperation. Advances in space observation have resulted in EVERYTHING we know to be true.

Space is as much a part of you as you are of it. We are all space dust. Surely if you can find equality on the atomic scale you can get along fine enough with the people around you... The more you understand something, the wiser you become. The masses need this enlightenment. .

Humanity is still suffering from the same problems it was thousands of years ago. We need to continue to strive forward in order to see any real change.

When I was in Latvia an Orthodox Cathedral was turned into a place for Astronomy during the Communist Era and has since been turned back into it's original form...

I thought this was ironic.

While I wouldn't look to space as a 'messiah', so to speak, to deliver us from our fighting, I DO honestly believe it'd be a good catalyst and practice to show what we can do down here....

Looking to Heaven for ideas and meaning on living... Nothing new there.

How do you figure this sounds more like Mars?

What I was trying to infer, is that if we're going to 'bond' in space with each other... then on EARTH as it is in the Heavens... thought that was pretty simple. Heaven disambiguated means 'the skies'.

All that said, I'm not trying to draw implicit religious meaning.
