to be fair htam, this thread was specifically about how the dems have been dropping name bombs for the past week, biden calling tea party people terrorists. hes the vice president. that whole congressional black caucus and the ultra liberal (some of who are jews , gasp, roach), and those other just out of touch liberals who are being extremely hypocritical by calling them terrorists and other names. and everyone knows that if a gop person would say something that offended daily kos or called someone a fag or something they would just be up in arms and have a fit about it.

im not saying anything about the overall problem or the people who all share the blame for it.

it was just amazing to me how fast dems descend into vitriol and at the same time try to claim the moral high ground. they really did have the appearance of a little kid throwing a temper tantrum... and the senate passed the joint plan 74 votes in favor, so the idea that it was a "hostage situation" or "terrorism" is so absurd, they just have to play to their base thats 1. on another planet and 2. has this false moral superiority where they can accuse gop rhetoric of inspiring jared lea lochner but then when it comes to this issue they are the ones spewing the vitriol... but its ok, because they're democrats... wtf.

some of the stuff i hear from u guys sounds like ron paul stuff. the banker is the cat babysitting the hamster- ok , thats a fair premise. but what wouldu have instead? pelosi and reid being the banker? the congresional black caucus being the banker? those guys are more "responsible" ? LOL. if responsible means something other than what i thought it did then sure.

it seems pretty childish to like get angry at the banker for you having to pay back your loans. or getting angry at the ceos because you and I arent one of them... or to get angry at the gop for trying to put us on a sutainable path, even tho our current path , everyone agrees, is running us off a cliff. yea., responsible, means , tackling those problems. its one thing to talk about how it would be fair to raise taxes on the rich, thats ok, that can be part of a responsible discussion. where we lay out the problems and try to find solutions.

but this bait and switch of just flashing some people's money or wealth and then getting others angry and like jealous and covetous.... its just plain irresponsible if you ask me. it makes those people seem like they are miserable and bitter... and not even like they have a good alternative or a good idea for how to make it work- just like all u can see from them is their vitriol and jealousy and anger and its like misdirected or not even directed anywhere just floating around and wallowing in bitterness.

the gop, (and i would hope the moderate dems) want the economy to improve, so that hiring improves, so that the job market and the housing market improve, so that people can feel like they are doing well again... once that stuff happens, there will still be rich people.... but it will be better for everyone.... or at least thats the goal. the tea party wants whats best for america and all the people in it- not just to screw some because dammit shit isnt fair and those tea party terrorist are keeping us down!~
