Someone finally speaks the truth on the economy

Link
If we only had a president, some politicians with balls. Too bad Teddy K. is gone. Although loved and hated by many, no one would deny he had balls and things have drastically changed for the worst with out him.

Nice vid, guy got balls, but its not going to happen, like congress the president has been bought as well.

So, its the people the ones who have to give the speech, through massive movilization.

Peacfully of course, that way we'll get a few extra hours before swat starts swinging.

It's fine, a blog doesn't need security certification. Just make a temporary exception.

You might want to worry if buying something online from a site that has invalid certs.

I dont know exactly what to take from that. its a guy ranting about the corrupting force of money on politicians. sure i agree with that, but the "solution" he offers seems unlikely to ever come to pass, because it seems like relying on one of the wolves to put an end to the stealing of sheep.

just found out that this asshole has been appointed to the "super committee".

'Toxic' Pat Toomey is a danger to the American economy. Toomey was instrumental in supporting the 1999 legislation that created "too big to fail" banks and that gave those banks the under-regulated "toxic" derivatives that by 2007 enabled those banks to steal the accumulated home equity of millions of honest Americans.

Toomey on the floor of he House 11/4/1999

"The repeal of Glass-Steagall is necessary so that consumers can get the products and services they desire and American financial firms can compete in the global marketplace.

Madam Speaker, I would like to highlight just one small part of this sweeping legislation. I am particularly pleased that this bill includes an important provision regarding certain derivative transactions, especially credit and equity swaps. These somewhat obscure products are actually very important tools used by businesses, including financial service firms, to manage a variety of risks that they face. This bill reaffirms that swap contracts are legitimate bank products that can be executed and booked in banks and are adequately regulated by and will continue to be regulated by banking supervisors."

The head of the CFTC says that the under-regulation of those derivatives was central to the economic collapse of 2007-08.

Well there's a building movement in pa to impeach Toomey.

He's really fucking up the state.

I'll bet every state with a republican governor is feeling similarly.
