cop has a mental problem for sure.
appearently drove off with the dudes license also. he only told the driver he could skate on the speeding charge (which was small) for a larger possible bust of possession (he learned of a prior arrest for possession from arrest records), however the driver knew his rights which then pissed the poor cop off. good lolz

i gotta say this kinda seems like one of those things where they have an actor play a crazy cop to show people how to stand up for their rights even if the cop acts totally insane...but id like to know if this is real or something like that

I'm sure this was staged for our entertainment. Let's see, I have a camera that records every minute of my day in a box in the trunk of my car that I can't access so I'm gonna act like a fucking moron and jeopardize my job and pension over something as petty as that? I don't think so, although I could be wrong, but I don't think so. By the way, you on the side of the road standing up for your rights is a good thing however without a law degree, you'll do a poor job of it. Most officers would probably let you go on your way if you are calm about it but if they want, your refusal would constitute reasonable cause in the officers mind and then you'll find yourself in the back seat of the car in cuffs while they spread your shit out on the road. The disconnect between what is done and what should be done...
