Considering berthing/hangar/fuel fees of most airports, $100 is a drop.
If it bothers you so much, don't buy a jet and support the commercial airlines.

100 dollars is not enough to discourage commerce, but is enough, when multiplied by the number of corporate charters per year to actually bring in some money. i dont know why this would be something to complain about?

Because, even though JFK will probably never see a puddlejumper, as airport ops refer small jets as, he feels like he has a PhD in how it should work.

if they do actually cost 15k to charter, thats barely a 7% tax. i think that is fair. the money has to come from somewhere does it not?

Support your numbers claims JFK.
In the mean time, read this- Corporate Jet Set: Leisure vs. Business - WSJ.com This fee would generate far more money than you'd like to admit. Well into the millions when you consider the amount of corporate jet flight traffic that lands on US Airfields daily. It's simply ignorant to believe otherwise. |
