Robert Jeffress On Mitt Romney Mormon Comments: 'I Am Not A Jeremiah Wright'

"Three out of four pastors agree that Mormons are not Christians"

Does anyone else feel like this article was written for the Onion but got intercepted by the huffington post? I can't believe this is receiving so much media attention, but at the same time, of course it is.

Even if there was a one true evangelical christian god, he wouldn't pick an egotistical douche like "Dr." Jeffress to mandate his word on what is a cult and what is not (why is he a dr anyway?).

IMO, evangelical christianity is much more of a cult than mormonism.

I think that if you unquestioningly accept the existence of an old man in the sky, who watches your every action, then judges you worthy of eternal happiness or eternal torture based on these actions, without once revealing himself to exist in any way, then you're really not in much of a position to judge the legitimacy of anyone else's beliefs.

It's funny what Evangelicalism has become.

Early on it was in line with what is now known as the 'Social Gospel Movement' which then amounted to taking 'Church' to the workers and the people who were not 'allowed' in the church because of class/work schedule etc....

And nothing more....

In John Wesley's case, he was an Anglican Priest in the 18th century, who developed a regiment and practice to implement his faith, such as regular study, fasting, visiting prisoners and open air Church which displayed his emphasis on personal salvation and piety, while downplaying rituals and traditions.

Eventually Wesley's 'Methodism', his manner of Practicing his Anglicanism, became it's own sect-tradition, solidified as such after the War for Independence in the States.

The Greek word 'evangelion', which means 'good news'/'gospel' is the root word.

Well, I know I'll be an American in America for AT LEAST one more year.

What I think...
I think I'll be easily accepted into a college here in Canada by Sept 2012
Which, I think means it'll be a sure fire way to stay here for 2-3 years on my own permit.
And I think that it will make me more eligible when my Wife applies for Permanent Resident status,
And I think that means it's a sure fire bet since we get considered at a couple ,which means I'll have PR status as well.

So yea... as a college student or graduate and my Wife as a Masters level student....

I THINK that it'll be a sure bet next time.

And I THINK we'll get an immigration lawyer to look over our case before we apply next time just to make sure we're all in order, since it obviously wasn't as simple as we thought this time.

So... when do I KNOW I'll be a Canadian, living in Canada?
Well.. I don't...
But I HOPE it'll be in the next 4-5 years, but only a year before I'm an American living in Canada again...
