good comments guys.

while i want to just dismiss what kamikazi says, he does have good point, and even tho i can say stuff like 'well its 2011 not 1955 so we cant do a do -over we have to deal with what it is NOW'... but then another part of me thinks that for a couple decades during the cold war both superpowers did some pretty fucked up shit , not even necessarily with bad intentions...but we sure are dealing with all that shit today.... at least now we have a little bit better motivations, and much better PR than back in those days.

Funny how we can invoke 9/11 at the drop of the hat but bringing up "1955" is dwelling on the past. But American exceptionalism allows us to look at things differently. Running planes into our buildings is much worse than overthrowing a democratically elected government.:rolleyes :

Stupid is right, the price of oil would go sky high, the middle east would destabilise.

Chances are it would trigger a world recession.
