Be more choosy about your munchies
I just wanted to post a link to a short article about the use of cellulose as a filler in common foods.
15 Food Companies that Serve You ‘Wood’ | Food Freedom Perhaps this is a low fat miracle food! Then again eating wood doesn't seem very exciting. |

didn't read the article, eh?
but yeah, i have a hard time being surprised. manufactured food is often amalgamated from industrial products. no surprises here, unless you've been living under a rock. i still don't like it, but man, it's everywhere. even buying dried fruit, i have to watch out for added corn syrup. crazy. |

And yes I read the incredibly biased article. Sort of curious what the writers ideas for fillers would be, fairy dust and pixie tears?

It's clearly been interpreted by idiots. The real article linked at the top of the page, doesn't have the audacity to cross out how cellulose works and write "lies". And cellulose is in all plants, and is an essential part of our diet, so I'm not really sure how you found fault with what deadhead said...

You can even find that dangerous cellulose in the form of papers!

the crossing out of quotes was pretty audacious. hard to get worked up about, unless they feel like they should use veggie-cellulose instead of wood cellulose.
didn't really find any arguments about that though, more just people being shocked that industrial remnants are often incorporated into manufactured food. |
