Executive branch says it can designate and kill U.S. citizens

Thought this was an interesting tidbit.

Only the executive branch can determine which U.S. citizens qualify as enemies of the state. Those that the executive branch deems enemies, they can target as legitimate military targets (i.e. assassination).

The laws these people make up are not going to go away with the next presidential administration/cabal, or the next one. So remember that when some other crazy shithead seizes power in the future, they can designate whoever U.S. citizens they want as enemy combatants.

Hopefully not, but why give them that opportunity? It's pretty crazy that the executive branch can say that u.s. citizens can be killed by who they alone deem a target. Anyone home?

it's an open-ended word that can include any and all groups and types of people. governments the world over have classified pacifists, artists, etc. as terrorists because they disagree with the fascist tactics and politics of governments.
