I have become quite addicted to reddit...so much so that I have legitimately forgot what I used to do on the internet before I was on that fucking site...
This is going to suck... |

I've heard that google is also doing something to their logo to mark it?
I've seen on the international google that there is a link to info about SOPA. I've heard that they were supposed to do something with the doodle aswell? |

fark was gonna be my reddit backup but they're "whited out in support of sopa". I actually resorted to going to 4chan but got sick to my stomach after about 5 minutes. Now I'm watching triggers with will willis on the military channel.

This is a sign for some of you to go outside today. Remember that walking from your couch to the fridge to get a hot pocket and beer doesn't qualify as "going for a walk".
That bright thing in the sky is called the sun. It won't hurt you. |

Unlike your lazy ass most of us were at the workplace, looking out at the beautiful day wishing we were out there walking around.

I love that the biggest troglodyte of us all is the one championing to get people to go outside...Without considering that it is January and most of us are sitting under at least 3-7 inches of snow...

no snow here this year and I couldn't be happier about it. If we get one more decent dusting so things look pretty in the morning I'll be good for the year. After last winter we really deserved one off anyway.

PA is having an extremely mild winter this year. Just got back from Home Depot with some plywood , Zinser oil based primer , and some stainless screws.
A 2 mile walk one way .

Three co-sponsors of the SOPA and PIPA antipiracy bills have publicly withdrawn their support as Wikipedia and thousands of other websites blacked out their pages Wednesday to protest the legislation.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) withdrew as a co-sponsor of the Protect IP Act in the Senate, while Reps. Lee Terry (R-Neb.) and Ben Quayle (R-Ariz.) said they were pulling their names from the companion House bill, the Stop Online Piracy Act. Opponents of the legislation, led by large Internet companies, say its broad definitions could lead to censorship of online content and force some websites to shut down. In a posting on his Facebook page, Rubio noted that after the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously passed its bill last year, he has "heard legitimate concerns about the impact the bill could have on access to the Internet and about a potentially unreasonable expansion of the federal government's power to impact the Internet." PHOTOS: Sites on strike "Congress should listen and avoid rushing through a bill that could have many unintended consequences," Rubio said in announcing he was withdrawing his support. While he's committed to stopping online piracy, Rubio called for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to back off plans to hold a key procedural vote on the bill on Tuesday. Rubio's withdrawal will reduce the number of co-sponsors to 39. Last week, two other co-sponsors, Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) and Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), joined four other Senate Republicans in a letter to Reid also urging him delay the vote. But Grassley and Hatch have not withdrawn their support. Terry and Quayle were among the 31 sponsors of the House legislation before they withdrew their support Tuesday. Quayle still strongly supports the goal of the House bill to crack down on foreign websites that traffic in pirated movies, music, medicine and other goods. "The bill could have some unintended consequences that need to be addressed," said Quayle spokesman Zach Howell. "Basically it needs more work before he can support it." Terry said that he also had problems with the House bill in its current form and would no longer support it. Wikipedia, Reddit and about 10,000 other websites blacked out their pages Wednesday with messages warning of the dangers of the legislation and urging people to contact their congressional representatives. Howell said Quayle's office had not seen a major increase in calls or emails Wednesday, but that the piracy bills have been the main issue in recent weeks for people contacting the office. There has been a "manageable increase" in visits to House member websites Wednesday, said Dan Weiser, a spokesman for the House office of the chief administrative officer. "It’s possible some users will see a short delay or slow loading of a member's web page," he said.

Isn't it ironic...
(CBS) - In a bizarre twist to today's Internet strike, a handful of critics are blasting websites for staging a blackout of the web. Full coverage of SOPA, PIPA at Tech Talk Former senator and chief executive officer of the Motion Pictures Association of America Chris Dodd came out against Internet companies partaking in protests against controversial U.S. anti-piracy legislation. The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA) pit Hollywood against the Silicon Valley in a battle between anti-piracy legislation and web innovation. "It is an irresponsible response and a disservice to people who rely on them for information and who use their services,'' Dodd said in a statement."It is also an abuse of power given the freedoms these companies enjoy in the marketplace today." SOPA opera: the Internet dukes it out with Congress SOPA supporters facing boycotts, thanks to Reddit SOPA opposition from tech heavyweights Google, Facebook Rep. Lamar Smith, sponsor of the bill, was not amused with the effort by Google and Wikipedia to draw attention to the SOPA. "It is ironic that a website dedicated to providing information is spreading misinformation about the Stop Online Piracy Act. The bill will not harm Wikipedia, domestic blogs or social networking sites," Rep. Smith said in a statement. "This publicity stunt does a disservice to its users by promoting fear instead of facts. Perhaps during the blackout, Internet users can look elsewhere for an accurate definition of online piracy." It's ironic that if SOPA or PIPA gets passed, those very sites are at risk of being shut down - not just for a day. Let's consider the case of Wikimedia Foundation, which operates Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. "The bill would allow corporations, organizations, or the government to order an internet service provider to block an entire website simply due to an allegation that the site posted infringing content," Wikipedia said in a statement. One of the main points made by Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe is that "an entire Web site containing tens of thousands of pages could be targeted if only a single page were accused of infringement." Although, lawmakers have made some compromises, like shelving the Domain Naming System blocking provision, the bills are not dead. PIPA heads to the senate for a vote on Jan. 24. According to a statement released by Smith, SOPA will continue markup in Feb.
