Obama

Hate him or love him, post here.

Edit: Everyone, lets be civil here, and let's try to stick with facts (pro Obama and anti- Obama). Thanks.

Liar, coward, flip-flopper, weak, child killer, warmonger, whore to Wall Street, whore to Congress, whore to special interest.

Those are the words that come to mind off the top of my head, and I fucking voted for the guy (God help me).

I think of Obama as the guy who finally convinced me that listening to politicians, and believing in anything they said, is a mistake.

Yeah, there are so many idiots to choose from in politics, but I just can't find one that makes me happy.

Campaigned on hope and change, provided neither. Stifled both.

As a person, I genuinely like the guy. Those candid moments where he shows his charisma and good-hearted nature is honestly refreshing to see.

But the Presidency is crushing his soul.

I cant wait till we actually have a good president so you people can see that the president really does matter. u just need to have a variety of talents and be able to deliver your messages/build alliances/not burn bridges with the other side, etc etc etc... its HARD, which is why not too many have been good at it- but when the person is equal to the office, the whole thing runs like clockwork. reagans 2nd term, kennedy, teddy roosevelt, lincoln.... a few others... maybe 10% of them have been truly up to the task.

President good or bad....

I think one thing that will change the gov't over all is TERM LIMITS for Senators and Congressmen.

Then there won't be this deadlocked, I've been in this part for umpteen years crap, partisan crap.

Another thing is... make them live like the elected servants they are and not like the elected lords they act like.

How are people that have healthcare for the rest of their lives allowed to decide if their constituents do or don't?

Hey being what about that 'imprison American citizens indefinitely without trial' thing I've been hearing about?

What's your take on that one?

check out the NDAA thread, I'm trying to keep people to debating correctly by keeping issues separate. in short, I don't support the NDAA of 2012, but I also think people are being told its worse than it actually is. please check that thread out though.
