it goes to show why no one who actually could do some good will ever try to run for office.

there is a lot to like about newt, and perhaps a few things not to like about him.

do i think that the overall makeup of newt is any better or any more flawed than the average makeup of bush obama or clinton? hell no. i dont understand why people can't look past some things, or at least give the guy credit for other things that he has that others dont...

he very well might make an excellent president. hes smart, free market, has big ideas, is bombastic but can back it up with facts and arguments, hes pretty moderate and willing to pander sometimes but to stand on principle on others...

whats the big problem with him? all around he certainly seems like a more pleasant choice than romney, and i think he would know what to do and how to do it far better than obama has shown.

theres so much misinformation ,and sometimes a shred of truth to a boatload of lies and maddow or whoever just passes it off as "information" and the people who are inclinded to hate him just eat it up and dont even question the disinformation...the y like that it reinforces their prior misconceptions and dont want anything to tell them otherwise...

his talk about employing kids as janitors is the same kind of smart idea combined with willingness to be un-pc if u think your making agood overall point- its the same thing that michelle rhee did with the washington dc school unions, and she was evicerated by the unions and msnbc, and when the dust settled we had better more accountable schools and teachers that were there based on merit not croneyism... which would ultimatlely give the kids msnbc says they care about the "city youth" more opportunities and education and a leg up....

so much of it fits together like a puzzle under the broad shared view of most americans, we get so hung up on this stupid petty political shit. gingrich would make a great president, if our country would only listen to the better angels of its nature.
